That explains it. And I just looked at the menu. I guess it went up to $13.

Still the only “complete meal” you can get for under $10. I think it was $9.80 with tax last time I got one

I guess the banh mi would do most of the filling because that little pho bowl isn’t going to do it.

$10.99 before tax now. Good news is they still add plenty of deli meat.

Oxtails

No shite. Vegetable soup made with oxtails was a winter staple around the house growing up. One day a few years ago I went to the store to get some oxtails and they were priced like prime steak. So I got a nice chuck roast for less and used it.

Burgers, I feel almost 2-3 years ago I could walk into any restaurant and get a burger for 8.99 - 10.99 depending on the type of meat they used. Now I'm paying 14.99 - 20.99 for the same thing with less fries than before

I remember when crawfish were $0.12-$0.14 a pound when I was growing up in late 60’s. About $5 a sack.

Magnalite pots. Holy crap they are worse than tulip mania or 2008 gas prices.

And a 100 lb. sack of oysters that typically contained 20-22 dozen cost all of $10 a sack.

Now, a mini-sack with 8 dozen or so oysters is $55 + tax.

A good Mexican buffet is still a bargain.

Pho has gotten ridiculous.
Mexican markets used to be 2.50 a taco now 3.50.

Taco Bell.

Two chicken Chalupas now cost $12. I can go to a sit down Mexican restaurant for $12.
