Wings used to be cheap bar food. Now it’s like a delicacy. Prices are at a premium for them. During Covid I can understand due to labor force, but now? Just seems like why lower the price of the customer is used to paying it.

Pho - A Vietnamese friend said that any place charging more than $7-8 for a bowl of Pho is robbing you. Most pho places now charge $12-$15 for a bowl of Pho.

shite is ridiculous. The days of cheap eats are over.

I feel like wings went back down a bit after they went up. Still not what they were but they did coke back down.

Those cheap cuts of meat like flank and hanger steak. Used to be such a cheap hidden gem.

Brisket...hell...bbq in general used to be very reasonably priced. I went to Terry Black's a few months ago and got a brisket plate with 2 sides, no drink, and it was $20ish.

yup. what was born in the basis of the cheapest of eats has become stupid in pricing. 20-30 dollars for 2 smalls strips of brisket, and a quarter rack of ribs with some sides isnt abnormal.

Brisket.

Definitely- We used to have brisket all the time because it was a cheap meal for a large family (6 of us), and it provided some leftovers. I swear that trimmed briskets used to be about $1-1.50/lb. I was at the store today and got excited that packer briskets are on sale this week for 'only' $2.49/lb. I'm going to go back and get one before they go back up to $5/lb next week.

I was going to list bbq as well. While never cheap, it didn’t run you 20-30 a plate

Yep. They are close to $2 each at some places. That’s ridiculous. You can get a whole chicken for $8.

Brisket is no easy cook, and not cheap, so I want to know who the heck is buying all these briskets from Sam's in Ellick?

Boneless, skinless thighs haven't so much exploded in price (though they have gone up quite a bit) as they are much harder to find in stock.

Brisket, I used to smoke about 4 a year. Was at Costco today they had a few Prime Briskets, seems like they disappeared for a while. It was $5/ LB, so a 14lber was $70. By the time I trim it and the yield after smoking it is more like $10/lb. I grabbed some Spares for $2.99/lb instead.

hmmm. not sure there is enough space on the server to list them all.

I would have to say just about any Fast Food. Not cheap and marginally fast.

I cut way back on fast food because is just isn't worth it anymore. At least it used to be cheap to eat like crap but now its almost more expensive

Like I know it was the airport but I payed like $20 for some panda express the other day I was like WTF should have just walked away
