Which once great American cities have you noticed making a comeback?

Detroit, Pittsburgh, Birmingham and Cleveland are a few that come to mind. I’ve heard these places are really coming back up.

I’m going to get downvoted to oblivion but honestly NOLA has improved a decent bit since COVID.

That was absolutely rock bottom as far as I’m concerned.

We have middle-aged lesbian couples to thank for this great renaissance you're speaking of.

detroit kinda is, but it's mostly fueled with gov't bs like it has been in recent memory. "muh electric vehicles. derp, derp."

Cities in general were peaking (relatively) before the summer of riots and COVID, and most have been declining since. Some of the crime has leveled off it would seem, but things still aren't in recovery mode yet IMO.

The Bham metro area? Maybe. The actual city? Not so much.

I went for a weekend and attended 3 Pirates games and a college football game. Had a blast. I definitely recommend people visit Pittsburgh.

Downtown Detroit has come back well. The rest of the city is still a shithole. Detroit has always had good suburbs and those are continuing to grow as people are moving to the Midwest for cheaper housing.

All of the major cities would make big comebacks if crime is stamped out. Ole Rudy did this in NYC. Now they are letting it slide back.

the crime rates are setting all time new record highs, and thats despite them only reporting 10% of the crimes that are happening

Is as much a shithole now as it was when I lived there in 2013.
