Just saw something on the news saying Methodist churches will allow gays to be in the ministry. If that’s how you wanna live your life, go ahead but that is completely against Christian living. How can they condone someone living in sin this way? Makes no sense to me, the day baptists start allowing it will be the last time I’ll walk through those doors.

The money must flow, unabated. Evolve or die. Tax em, that's what I say.

This have been a thing in the Methodist church for a while now and has caused a major split in the Church.

I can't see Baptists ever allowing it.

The gays and trans activists have taken over a lot of the denominations. They are masters at church politics.

There is a Catholic joke here and I think we all know it.

Gay people and women love bullshite jobs and there's nothing more conducive to bullshite than working in a church organization

Also (perhaps more importantly) as churches get more and more woke and involved with ngos and immigration they are more and more attractive to nonbelievers who want to brown America.

Left wing activists can make a huge impact on America by working for a Unitarian church who works hand in hand with the feds and ngos.

Because Christians don’t stand firm upon scripture like they used to. They’ve been beaten into submission and are slowly giving away to the world’s values instead of Christ’s

Seems like they’ve always allowed gay preachers, they’re just now letting it be open.

The takeover is in full swing

100% the fault of the public who didn’t speak out on the legalization of gay marriage and allow this to be normalized

It's the new reality.

The most expensive catholic school in Lake Charles is called Episcopal Day School and all their preachers are women and one of them is an open lesbian granted she's not the put a pride flag in her yard type.

Point is whole world is going to shite.

Congregations, and even those who subscribe to a particular denomination if need be, can vote with their feet.

If a person is at odds with the direction that leadership of their congregation is taking they can leave and take their tithing with them. No one is being forced into membership of a particular church. Neither is their devotion to a particular denomination ironclad.

Within the last year about 25% of the United Methodist Churchs left the denomination over these issues - many are now non-denominational or have joined the newly formed Global Methodist Church.

It will be very interesting to see how the United Methodist Church handles this Mass departure from a monetary standpoint. Overall I think the United Methodist church denomination will struggle moving forward.

It’s been going on for a minute in the United Methodist Church—now the not so United Methodist Church—but it reached a breaking point in the last year or so when the more conservative churches split off to form the Global Methodist Church. Much of the UMC institutional apparatus has been trying to plow this field for decades, notwithstanding the folks in the pews.

It is not Christian anymore if they allow it. They are preaching politics and not from the Bible. They have created their own personal God that is ok with whatever sin they want. This is a false God and it states in the 10 commandments: thall shall have no other God before me.

Churches (any denomination) will alter its beliefs in a heartbeat if it means bringing in more money.
