Every white lib I know is the complete opposite. They all grew up upper middle class and had everything provided for them. Never had to work for anything and always had mama telling them how special they are....
This. The loudest progressives I know are usually the wealthiest. What they're really saying is "I feel bad and we have to do better for the poors/POC/gays/palestinians, I just don't want them in my yard". There is a discernible contempt they have that there are limits to their charity. Help the disenfranchised, just make sure they show up to serve me drinks at my country club on time.
I cannot stand these progressives. They don't really want to help, they just feel guilt and have little to occupy their mind like a "real job".

Just opened FB (where I follow my leftist groups) and literally the first post their algo showed me

You must misunderstand. I don't go on these much to follow these groups. I just purposefully obfuscate the various algos for my own personal purposes.
I use FB 95%+ of the time for Marketplace and like 2% for memories.
