Every white lib I know is the complete opposite. They all grew up upper middle class and had everything provided for them. Never had to work for anything and always had mama telling them how special they are. I personally only know one lib that isn't completely arrogant and conceited.

Others I know are either rebelling against their conservative parents or the guys are losers that can't hold on to a job and think everyone else is the problem and not them. A few guys, deep down I don't think really believe in lib causes, but think that being lib will get them laid.

get ready for a bunch of stories about how they USED to be conservatives until the conservatives got so exxxxxxxxtreeeeeeeeeeme

I'm redpilled AF now but I can empathize.

The media is a powerful force.
I was caught up in the "Trump sucks" rhetoric leading up 2020 election. (now I'm of the strong opinion he's all time top 5)

I didn't own a gun until I was 30+, even though I grew up hunting with my dad. now I've lost many to the cruel mistress of the sea.

If someone besides Biden had ran against Trump. who knows. Had I moved to Denver with ex wife I'd probably be a bleeding heart moron too. Like many of you, I'm sure, I was republican because my parents were. That's not enough. You need to be affected to be invested. You need to not only be able to think for yourself, you have to have a reason to do so.

this is just to say, liberalism is very much a product of nurture before nature.

Progressive here. Born and raised in Louisiana, moved all over the US but went to college in Alabama and now live in SoCal. LGBT, regular ole family with parents still together, raised Catholic but I don’t believe in god anymore so I’d say I’m agnostic. Work in Real Estate Analytics for a large private company. Love this country and don’t think democrats have everything right, but they have it more right than republicans.

They are communists.

They are purple that didn't fit in as kids.

They may have been bullied. May have been goth or emo in high school. May have been/ still are fat.

Whatever it is they didn't fit in the the jocks, nerds, tech school kids, or even just plain Jane kids.

They were different.

And they found a herd of also strange people in their own way. These are strange people who often have mental disorders because they were odd as kids and didn't fit in.
