This is actually done as an attention to detail item. If they miss something like this they could have missed something that could be dangerous

This.
Van Halen put this rider in all their contracts because of the specs of their touring show. If they saw green M&Ms in the bowl, they had the tech crew start going down the list of conditions for the show looking for other stuff that wasn’t done right.
