Thieves are beginning to catch onto cutting the hot first. They didn't leave that much cord hanging for no reason.

Yep. It's a rich source of metal that I and others pointed out a year or 2 ago. You'd figure companies manufacturing those stations would try to minimize theft in their design.

I can’t remember which site but I spoke to a groundskeeper a few years back and I was wondering why the lights weren’t coming on the soft ball field. He mentioned all of the copper in the ground had been stolen. Had no idea it was so profitable.
