When the truck goes around and fills the different gas station pumps, I don't think the gas gets any better or worse depending on what gas station they go fill up.

I don't know if there are different companies who deliver gas to certain companies, but my uncle used to own an Exxon gas station, the truck would stop to fill up his pumps, the go down the street to a Chevron to fill their pumps up and so on.

Me too, and you could buy that, plus minnows and crickets and a homemade ham and cheese sandwich at the same place. Plus a 2 dollar Barlow knife if you were feeling rich. .22 ammo too.

This is a feller I’d go fishing with right here.

Thought Techron was

A few years ago, we had a Honda that would have a hesitation at around 1800 RPMs.

Some mechanic said he could clean out the injectors for a few hundred dollars or we could start using Chevron with Techron in it.

After a few tanks of Chevron, the hesitation miraculously disappeared.

Some thing with diesel as with gasoline….diesel contains additives fro keep it from gelling in cold weather, etc.

I put Shell 93 in the MINI almost exclusively

The ONLY contribution I have is don't get hung up on an Octane number. Use the fuel that your vehicle manual suggests using......there is a reason when they say use a certain grade.

There are two gas stations across from my shop owned by the same guy. One is SAMCO and one is TEXACO. He told me out of his own mouth one day that he has to sell the same gas at the Texaco for at least 10 cents more per gallon because he technically "franchises" the Texaco name (not sure if its an actual franchise, but he said Texaco told him to sell it higher). It's all the same gas delivered from a Samco truck.

I just thought that was funny.

Ethanol is somewhere around 30% less efficient than Gasoline so that’s why your MPGs are better

The additives are not inconsequential, but the gas typically all comes from the same place in a general area.

Use only top tier gasoline. There should be a sticker stating that on the gas pump. After inquiring with Shell that I don’t see stickers at every Shell station, they assured that all Shell stations only carry top tier gasoline. I asked a truck driver filling up the station if they put regular in premium tanks. He said the stations get audited all the time. If the fuel does not pass spec, it’s someone’s arse.

Look up the list of gas companies that have the certification. The important thing is not the gas itself, but rather the additives. Discount Bob don’t give a rats arse. Check out below:

Top Tier

I'm 60 and have been driving regally since I was 13. I've always bought the cheapest gas and never had an issue, I usually put 250-300k trouble free miles on a vehicle. Also I never change oil more frequently than 10k miles, again never an issue and all my vehicles have rolled to 250k plus with no issues. Frequent oil changes are a huge scam, but a good money making deal for many businesses.

Chevron w/ Techron is the best fuel you can buy, and not just for high-performance engines.

No injector failures, no throttle-body cleanings, not hesitation; it just works.

Well worth the small increase in price over the discount brands.

All I know is that my 2004 Suburban hates Pilot gas. Shell or Chevron is all I’ll put in it.

So, with more additives, you're getting less fuel for the price. Just fill up with the cheapest gas you can find and add some Sea Foam yourself if you want a worthwhile additive.

it's all in your head. most of you don't have any idea how vehicles are engineered post computer control of your fuel.
