That's not even a kid's meal at Canes. Where's the sippy cup?

I've pretty much have no expectation of getting great LA food here. A shrimp poboy at BBs is my bar now.

That's some pitiful looking fish. They've got a poor combination of old/burnt grease and/or way over cooked fish. I would have had it taken away and off my bill.

Sir can we fry you another batch?
No ma'am I'm good. Thank you though.

Did I read the thread right? The owners of this establishment are from BR?

I just recently moved to Nashville. They have fairly new place that is ran by a couple from Prairieville. They have the Lidenheimer bread for there poboys. My daughter(who was born in Baton Rouge), says its the best shrimp poboy in town. I haven’t got to try it yet

I think a better question is who TF would order a fish basket, crinkle fries and hushpuppies for $22.63 when it clearly says on their menu that it only has 1/4 lbs of fish in the basket? That dumbass deserves to get ripped off.

I referenced another restaurant where the owner is definitely from BR and someone claimed this restaurants owner is too. I haven’t been able to confirm that, but not saying it isn’t true.

The Citco Gas Station on Springridge Road would have something similar with bigger (not burnt) fillets and more fries for maybe $7.00, including Diet Dr. Pepper and two hush puppies.

I haven't been to Long John Silver's in years, but if you included a big handful of their fried batter crumbles and slaw, it might be $6.00. Also would include drink, might have to settle for diet Coke or diet Pepsi.

I usually shop for mine at the Exxon Gas station on the Blvd and Northside Drive here in Clinton. Maybe $5.00 with two big fillets, no fries, but you do get two big JoJo logs and pretty good Hushpuppies.
