What an idiotic question.

You ought to spend some time working this out. Then, when you've figured out why it's fricking retarded, come back and explain it so we can make sure you get it.

I disagree. If the person was a model prisoner and earned the right for early release they why keep penalizing them?

The whole point is rehabilitation and early release probably shows they are on that path.

Should I be able to go to Mexico and site our Constitution if I get into trouble?

No. We're discussing illegal aliens coming here and the protections of the US Constitution.

Your comparison only follows the discussion logically if the illegal aliens came here and cited the Mexican Constitution.

You mean like this?

illegal immigration is a felony under Mexican law. In fact, Article 123 of the General Law of Population mandates that “a penalty of up to two years in prison and a fine of three hundred to five hundred thousand pesos will be imposed on the foreigner who enters the country illegally.”

in most states they can after 7 years for non violent offense.

federal offenses, you cant.

does this over rule the current rule on federal felonies?

i agree btw. especially for non violent offenses. but if you served your time and are no longer a threat to society, all rights restored.

if you are a such a threat that you shouldnt be allowed to own a gun...well then shouldnt be out on the streets.

They often can’t vote either.

your rights to vote are restored when you get off parole and probation in almost every state

this is one of those things that is often repeated so people just accept it as fact, but is wrong.
