So there's pretty hot debate in the office regarding this question.
I firmly believe potato salad should be served and eaten cold.

What say you OT?

UP vote = COLD
DOWN vote = HOT

Hot potato salad is just a loaded mashed potato dish.

Depends on the type.

German potato salad = hot

Just your regular, mustard/mayo based potato salad = cold

I like it either way, but if' you're not putting you potato salad in you bowl of gumbo you're doing it wrong.

Freshly made while still warm potato salad, egg salad, and chicken salad is the best way

Cold dinners are for people that are late

I find this strange. I'd like to try it and see what the deal is. Seems like it could be awful depending upon the potato salad used.

warm banana pudding
A from scratch banana pudding with a meringue is pretty damn good. I am a big fan of the typical chilled banana pudding, but a lady at my church growing up made the warm one with homemade pudding and a meringue top and that stuff disappeared at the 'eating meetings' way before the cold ones, sometimes before the cold ones were even dug in to.
