Lol…our government is such a joke. The problem with our government now is that they can no longer put a lid on information.

Years passed:

US Govt: we sanctioned Russia. No more western products in their stores

American lemming: yep sounds good.

2024:

US Govt- repeats above

American: wait, we just saw a video from a guy recording at Russian mall that shows the sanctions you claim that occurred, really didn’t

Dollar hegemony is slowly on the decline and the BRICS are the reason. The BRICS countries have agreed to back their currencies with gold so that puts pressure on Western central banks, Federal Reserve, European Central Bank and Bank of England. Every time we print BRICS currencies get stronger.

There are too many work arounds in global trade. Of course they do absolutely nothing but signal virtue to all the woke westerners with Ukrainian flags hanging in their yards.

Well when Zelensky is taking our allocation for diesel fuel at up to 50 dollars US a gallon, and buying Russian diesel on the black market, pocketing hundreds of millions of dollars on the spread, well its laughable at this point.

This is why our leaders are retards the bow to the religion of globalism while trying to flex and expend their regional power. You can’t have both you dumb fricks.

Russia's economy is not very diverse. It's mostly oil exports. The sanctions have hurt and the missiles from Ukraine have hit refineries in Russia from 1,000 miles away. The workers have to stay but some engineers are leaving in pursuit of safer jobs in other countries.
Does this mean Russia will give up? No, it means they can't stall much longer. They're gonna make a big push to invade deeper instead of just defending taken territory.

Did you see them hit the refineries? Not trying to be a smart arse, but I'm to the point I don't believe a thing the news says ( especially regarding Ukraine).

It was a British Youtuber, Joe Blogs. He showed where 5 or 6 (out of hundreds fired) actually hit the refineries (4 different cities). The one at 1,000 miles was a record distance.
There was also a story about the U.S. demanding that Ukraine stop firing US made missiles into Russian territory. We just want them used to target Russians in occupied Ukraine.
Zelensky's response to this demand was 'uh, no.'

China is about to print over $4T to bail out their housing sector. There's no way they can back that with gold.

I was told shortly after the Financial Meltdown of 2008/2009 by a very learned banking guru on this forum the USD is the only game in town for the foreseeable future, basically told me I was ignorant of how global banking operates and I was peddling nonsense.

This is within China. The Chinese Yuan will be inflated within China. But trade between BRICS countries are backed by gold:

quote:

After tossing around a few bad ideas, the BRICS countries have settled on using gold as the basis for international exchange, a role previously taken by dollars and euros. This does not mean today’s floating fiat ruble, real, or rand is going anywhere soon. Rather, just as the US dollar was used alongside those domestic currencies in the past, today and in the future gold will be more commonly used.

Todays holdings of gold in BRICS countries doesn’t amount to even close enough to handle monetary transactions in a thriving economy that they would need to trade in to upset the dollar. America is definitely doing their best at destroying the dollar worthiness daily but realistically there is nothing to replace it. If America doesn’t start very soon shoring up the dollar then obviously long term we will crash. The rest of the world isn’t doing anything about themselves either so I suspect a worldwide crisis, a big one, will happen sooner than later

The "west" doesn't control as much as they think they do.

Russia has oil. They'll be absolutely fine no matter what Biden and his WEF buddies try to do.

How much is an ounce of gold worth in dollars? Real? Euros? Yuan? Rubles? Rupees? Rand? Separating gold from an accepted unit of exchange is impossible unless we want to go back to a barter system. Fact is, the Brazilian, Russian, Chinese, and South African economies are going to shrink and the U.S, Australian, Argentine, and Turkish economies are going to expand. Gold won't save BRICS from that.
