Any of you run TruFuel in your lawn equipment?

$7 for 32 oz. fuel + oil mixture. Equates to $28 for gallon.
Non-ethanol gas + oil mixed yourself would be less than $9/ gallon.
What's the benefit of TruFuel? It seems to be a popular product.

I use it in my equipment that's going to sit for a long time. Generator, pressure washer, stuff like that.

It claims to be stabilized in its container and can last a few years, and it's 92ish octane.
I use 89 or 93 octane, and go through a premix gallon about every month during the cutting season.
That said, I do keep a small can on hand for my chainsaw, which doesn't get used very often at all. Main reason is it came with a can when I bought it

use it and love it for weed eaters, blowers, chain saws, hedge trimmers etc,, all togther it might cost be $30-40 a year more, well worth it to me

Nope. I just mix my own. If I have issues with any small engines, I bring them to my neighbor. He fixes everything!

It’s all I use in my weed eater and blower. It’s pricy but I probably don’t spend more than 20-30 bucks a summer on it. I always had issues with 2 stoke equipment until I started using it. Weed eater going in year 8 with zero issues

i think its snake oil. its just gas with an additive? Never used it and no issues with regular gas (non-ethanol) and oil mix

I've used it in my stuff for a couple years now. When I would run non ethanol and mix my own, id burn all of it out of my weed eater, edger, hedge trimmer, blower, etc at the end of the year and without fail every year it seemed that I'd be replacing the fuel filter and cleaning the carb at the start of the next season. Ran trufuel for a few years now and this was the first year I had to do some maintenance, and I probably could have got away with just a spark plug.
It might not be any better I don't know and it's for sure overpriced, but I've had good results with it and I honestly don't even trust the non ethanol gas at the pump to be truly non ethanol.
If I ran a lawn service, it'd be a different story obviously, but just for my house, the cost doesn't add up to that much a year.

I use it, but my Stihl blower is the only 2stroke gas engine I own. So, I just don't need a gallon. Making my own and storing that 1 gallon jug takes more room than the little can on my shelf with all my other lawn and garden cans/jugs. That gallon would also last me well over a year. I just don't use it enough.

The only real benefit is that it is more stable than gasoline. I use it as a flush for my 2-stroke and 4-stroke equipment at the end of the season before long-term storage but during the season I mix my own (E10 89 octane Shell or Chevron + Echo Red Armor or Stihl Ultra oil). The problem with TruFuel 2-stroke mixes is that it's not always consistent and can actually cause the very same problems it purports to prevent, a lot of small engine shops get equipment full of the stuff. Another issue with it is that it simply produces less power and in high strung commercial-grade equipment that can be a noticeable problem, the volatility inherent in gasoline also means it burns better and has more BTU's per volume than canned fuel.

I don't use TruFuel but it definitely is good stuff.
I inherited a Stihl 444 Magnum chainsaw when my stepdad died. He used TruFuel in all his 2 stroke equipment. It had been sitting up with fuel in it for at least 5 years (that I know of so probably longer). I dumped the tank just in case and put fresh gas in it (even though the old TF smelled fine).
I figured I'd spend a couple hours cleaning the carb and whatnot. It started on the 2nd pull.

I switched to it about 5 years ago. I have not had one issue w my blower, chainsaw, edger or trimmer since. Not one.
It is expensive but well worth it for me. I use one of the big cans of it each year

10 year old lawn mower, 12 year old weed eater, 12 year old blower, 14 year old chainsaw, 16 year old generator all still work and start on first or second crank every single time.
Have only used non ethanol gas and added stabilizer.
I’ve done hardly any maintenance to any of them. Changed the oil once in my mower, twice in the generator.

At home I mix my own, but up at the camp we run True Fuel thru all the two stoke equipment.

That price is ridiculous. I gallon of non ethanol and a bottle of red armor is less than $9.
It’s more of a convenience thing for people that don’t want to mix their own.

I love using Tru-Fuel for the simple fact of pouring. The new gas cans are ridiculous, and easier to control Tru-Fuel, so you don't overflow those small engine fuel tanks.

I use it in my trimmer, my honda walk behind, and my suzuki 2.5 outboard boat motor (different blends). They all start up on the first pull, no matter how long they've sat. It is expensive, but I don't go through much either, and it lasts a long time on the shelf. If I were a pro and was running equipment every day, the cost would not be worth it. But I only use maybe a gallon a year, max.
