If NCAA use Oregon’s NIL as a cap, LSU will lose 50% of it’s NIL

That's the collective. I think Phil Knight operates outside of that like Gordon does for LSU.

Isn’t NIL basically a school collective alumni and sponsorships are individual corporations/ individuals that sponsor a certain kid lol? I think your whole view on nil is misguided. There should be a cap on what schools can offer but if a kid wants to go do meet and greets at canes to make money then that’s on his own self. Not school or NIL related whatsoever

Just make it NFL Minor League and colleges rent out their stadium to the team and players. Let them figure out how to get the TV money . College sports are in the past .

Some people only like capitalism when it benefits them

While this is true and I believe capitalism is the best system however, it's not without its issues. Look at the US. A huge majority of all major companies are essentially under the same umbrella. Meaning the haves own everything. The have nots own what the haves allow them to. Even as the most regulated system in the world for fairness(believe that if you want), it still allowed the "free market" to be capitalized on and dominated by the haves of the world. You can't avoid the people and companies you'd choose to even if you tried. They are all the same company in a sense. Is that how capitalism is supposed to work? Should we be proud of it? Our country's pride has certainly taken a hit. Capitalism and it's "regulation" are the cause. They will also be the cause of college footballs end without regulation, which as examples have shown, isn't really as beneficial to the have nots as advertised but we take what we can get. The haves will always win in the long term. And we will be happy with the scraps they leave behind. Copium is more prevalent than you'd think.

They can't.....
They refused to open Pandora's box, and when it was finally decided, it was too late....

NIL has been going on forever, don't fool yourself
We will always have competitive classes and that's all we need...

Ask the KC Chiefs about NIL
there response would be, we have Mahomes, we can throw ANYONE at WR....

Moore is talented
Manning is overrated
Enjoy those over / under thrown balls!!!!!

"When is the NCAA gonna regulate NIL"

Not sure the NCAA as it is now will survive much longer. They can't seem to find a way to regulate the NIL. Also lets remember the basketball sandal that many schools just ignored and did not cooperate. (except LSU).

There are tons of endorsement deals flying around outside of the collectives. In the particular case of Oregon comparing the respective collectives is entirely pointless.

They won’t, can’t, shouldn’t and you shouldn’t want them to if you actually care about seeing top players play for your team. The players have ALL OF THE POWER HERE. If they ever realize that as a whole, college football will never get another “5 star player” or even most “high 4 star players” again. If they ever unionized they could force the NFL to draft them straight out of high school leaving colleges left with scrubs.

And people would still go to Tiger Stadium on a Saturday night to watch a group of players with the letters LSU on their uniform play against Ole Miss, Alabama etc.

At the end of the day college athletics is all about school pride.

This will be decided by the courts, not the NCAA.

Very easy to regulate by “taxing” or imposing luxury tax on university for all NIL money paid to its students!

how?

the NFL has minimum age requirements.
and there is no law that says they can't have them.

most jobs in this country have some sort of minimum requirements.
whether it's a certain amount of schooling, minimum age, minimum amount of experience, etc.
the NFLK is no different and has nothing to do with the NCAA.

What POWER do you think the NCAA has to regulate NIL? Is there some mechanism in the by laws to overrule the Supreme Court of the United States?

Are you a socialist? Do you want someone to regulate what you can make? Perhaps dictate whether or not you can change jobs?

Commie Bastards....
