That list pretty much proves the point.

Whole lot of hot garbage on that list.

A few on that list have Orleans locations too. Bigger point is that no one in Orleans parish is going to drive to Jefferson specifically for those restaurants. Like you said, and I’m included in this, I’d rather cook at home or just order takeout from my neighborhood favorites. Would never consider organizing a big meal out with family or friends at any restaurant on that list solely due to Covid restrictions in Orleans.

Went to dinner Tuesday night in uptown. They didn’t ask for vaccine proof and it was full.

Well, if the New Orleans restaurants fed up with the BS move to Jefferson, then people would want to eat in Jefferson. We all know people aren't traveling to Nola to eat because of the scenery

Many close for much of the month in regular times.

Lol, many were closed during the first wave of this. Closing randomly in august after missing months of revenue the prior year is retarded.

And you missed revenue from saints games, mardi gras, jazz fest and any other shite that didnt bring in an influx of tourists and money.

Some of you would be really shitty business owners.

This simply isnt true. There are people, because of the mandate, that now feel more comfortable to go to the restaurant

I'm basically over:
-Cantrell
-the crime
-sycophant NOLA residents like Fun Bunch & Lester Earl that fellate tyranyical leaders because the unwashed hordes from outside NOLA city lines say one meanie weanie word about NOLA and Cantrell.
-the out of control crime
-the Saints and their we're protesting for black women like Breonna Taylor but NOT the black women Jacob Blake and George Floyd assaulted & victimized.
-did I mention the violent, out of control crime?
-smug yet also stupid brewery and restaurant owners who are anti-freedom, anti-thinking for yourself and anti-common sense
-all those damn potholes

You don't deserve our money now or never nor do you deserve the love we poured out after Katrina. Rot in your filth and crime and cratering economy.

Edited to add: and I with my friends and/or wife used to make several trips a year to NOLA. I was excited about Counting Crows coming to NOLA. Planning TWO trips in the next two month to Texas instead for music and baseball.

Sure, but for as large as Jefferson parish is, the food & bar options are poor compared to New Orleans.

There are 8 block sections of New Orleans with better food than all of JP

I’m speaking relative to the headline. Anyone that lives in New Orleans knows that after 3 days of this that headline is complete bullshite. shite, it was prob filmed on Monday or Tuesday anyway; so not even giving the grace to see if it is going to bury business.

No one likes it, but they have withstood it up until this point. So stay home I guess? The same people that own these places always have. The same shite Mayors that run the city are still there. So be a triggered little soy boy, I don’t give a shite

Yes, but if it saves one person from losing their sense of taste and/or smell for a week and feeling a little sick then it's worth it.

Whether any of us can or can't WHY IN THE BLUE frick would we want to throw away massive amounts of money on severely overpriced real estate on a pot holed street in a crime mecca of the Western world? No one with any sense wants to throw away money like that.

People are getting insane $ for real estate in JP. I think a lot of that is people wanting to get the heck out of Orleans

As an Uptown resident for 10+ years, I will not be setting foot in an Orleans Parish restaurant for however long this nonsense goes on. The one exception is for places that won't enforce it. I'll seek them out and support them.

If restaurant owners feel the pinch, hopefully they will sack up and publicly push back on her. That is one of the only things that might be effective. Might.

I know this is anecdotal but we eat out pretty much every weekend we are in town. There are others like us.
