Went to Bosco's Italian Cafe in Mandeville for dinner with a friend last night with a friend. We both got 10" pizzas with personalized toppings.
I also ordered a whole muffaletta "to go" for eating today. Ended up having a 1/4 for dinner this evening.

For the $23.00 they charge for it it's well worth the price.

It comes without the olive salad on it but they give you like a sandwich size zip lock bag full of olive salad to add yourself.

I opened it as seen below to arm in the oven to take the chill off and crisp the bread a bit.

Cut into quarters and olive salad added.

Delicious!!!!

4 years ago the pizza was consistently amazing. The last couple years it is hit or miss.

But the muff has never disappointed.

Muff from Pontchartrain Po Boys is my go to. They bring them in from some guy out of town. They don't make them on site. I get them to bake it crispy and pick it up on way home from work.

Looks great.

Nor Joe Import Company in Old Metairie makes a mean muff and is a contender as well.

Love that muff!
They put a lot of Mortadella and their olive salad is yum. Pretty good place overall

They do but you have to get double meat and cheese now. They cut back the portions alot. I miss the pre Biden era!!!

Thanks Obama…

I think this is a you problem, not the restaurants problem.

This needs a bit of explanation. Are you saying it's the consumer's problem that the restaurant is constructing its sandwich with less meat than they have previously, or are you saying the consumer is wrong in thinking it is less meat when in reality it is the same amount as has always been used?

Bosco's has the best muff on the northshore. Kills central grocery.

Not to disparage Central Grocery or Nor-Joe's muffuletta but for the money Bosco's is hard to beat, Nor Joe and Central make good sandwiches but the amount of meat you get on a Bosco's is easily double if not triple of what you get at Central Grocery or Nor Joe.
I was at Zuppardo's Sunday and saw they sell CG's muffuletta for like $27.00 -28.00. Bosco's was 23 bucks and it's been a couple of months since I've been to Nor Joe but I think the last time I was there it was like $21.00.

Have you had their muff? Or, are you just being contrarian, as usual?
