Ain’t the same

A lot of teams scout. If Benoit doesn’t have someone at some games I’d be surprised. He came up under Cazeaux who I know for a fact would have people watching games. Sometimes the assistant and sometimes just trusted eyes. He also kept a spread chart on every single batter from every single game.

Eagles have a very deep pitching staff this year. Winning a three game series against Parkview will be very difficult. Only question mark for them is if they can score enough runs.

Alot of teams scout throughout the year and espically with the playoffs. I attended a few games in the last 2 weeks of watching my kids play and others within the area, I can tell you I seen coaches from Mandeville at Hahnville/Neville Series, I seen St. Charles Catholic at Pope/Newman, I seen Cath Br at Jesuit/St Pauls. If you have the chance to learn more about your opponnet and in first hand, trust me if you got enough guys on the coaching staff to help you out, lots of schools will do it.

It’s easy to contact the coach of your playoff opponent’s divisional rival and get a wealth of info too. LOL

It was the pitching coach. No hitter and a 2 hitter. Looks like he needs to be the guy to scout weekly.

That’s a give and take kinda deal many of those district rivals are good friends between games. It’s still best to get your eyes on

I remember chatting w a wm “guy” on sidelines at a catholic league teams semifinal in 97….

He had a good line “men how did Jesuit beat this team” Response we stil trying to figure that out…. As wm was up on J 35-0…. I think shows or aldredge said that Shaw line was best he had seen

Stopping Terrell Harris and Derek Joseph were the concerns heading into the game. We didn’t know who was going to cover him. Our front 7 was going to be fine. Watching film they were scary good.

Maybe predominant but not the best or most reliable.
