classic recruiting

247 rankings for Colorado recruiting classes before 2023:

2022 - 58
2021 - 65
2020 - 36
2019 - 48
2018 - 53

(An average of 52 over those 5 years.)

2024 - 22
2023 - 21

Deion Sanders has a national pull in recruiting. It's actually a uniquely good fit for a program that doesn't have good in-state talent.
Obviously recruiting rankings are not close to perfect prognostications. But they'll give you a general gauge.
I think there need to be some coaches or staff members that devour film, especially on linemen. Whether it's for portal players or HS recruiting. If they did want to do more HS recruiting, Arizona would be good state for it. And they'd be able to find some Samoan linemen in Utah, or somewhere relatively close. Midwestern states have good linemen too.

yea i was big time wrong on Deion. Thought he would kill it in recruiting and be a players coach/mentor. Instead he has turned into an entitled lazy frick who has ruined all the hoopla that surrounded him.

his demotion of the OC last year was kind of the last straw for me.

You don't expect the offense to be better?

Pat Shurmur is the new OC, so it’s probably not going to be much better, if at all.

4-5. A bowl game is possible, but they’d have to improve by leaps and bounds on the offensive line.

Right out of the gate on August 29, Colorado vs North Dakota State.

We won't be hearing much out of Colorado this year.

If the offensive line is much improved, they've got real potential on offense.
Some of the losses last season were close, and when you look at the top-end talent, the Pac-12 had the second most draft picks behind the SEC.
Similar to the recruiting rankings, that's not some exact measure of talent. But it gives a good general gauge.

What am I .missing from what the platter said? I keep seeing the sanders kid is defending his dad, from what....basic criticism? Some are y'all are acting like the kid was out there saying deion was molesting them or had bad breath or something. If the criticism like what was said isn't taken to heart to improve then the sanders need to grow some thicker skin and stop acting like they got sand in their coochies.

Except that this coming season will be "daddy ball." If they're not throwing 10 passes for every 1 called run I'll be shocked. This is going to be about getting his sons and Hunter to the NFL as top picks.

This includes the transfer ranking. They were 30th in HS recruiting in 2023 and 80th in 2024.

no i dont

when he fired his OC, who had left a HC position to take it, they had a very good offense. But his son didnt like it, do demoted him

typical ignorant BS behavior.

Ooof. Not the season opening game I’d want if I think my Oline needs work. NDSU usually has some hogs out there ready to push hay and wear your arse out.

Starting off with an loss to a fcs school located in North Dakota imo wouldn’t even be that bad of a loss bc of how good that program is, but in this context could start the beginning of the end for the Deion era if that happened

Push is going to come to shove when the boasters start getting a bit more tight with those NIL funds if they are staring at another year of sub bowl eligibility
