He was. But the CBS network executives directed him to stop “predicting” plays when in reality he was just analyzing pre snap tendencies. Now this is the result of that. NBC did the same to Mike Mayock

The only thing CBS did was to politely ask him a couple of years ago to start watching film and do a little prep work prior to showing up to the stadium to broadcast.
They gave him a huge 10 year contract. They don’t have a lot of leverage to order him to do anything.
