You know something went wrong when he’s not even trying to find a silver lining.

I'm generally a very optimistic person. Probably to a fault - at least when it comes to sports.
There is no silver lining to falling out of the 4-5 seed so late in the season, falling into the play-in, limping to the 8 seed, and getting swept in a very uncompetitive series.
I guess it's nice that we made the playoffs and had a good regular season. In our history, simply making the playoffs is a rarity. Our collective goals/expectations are higher than that now though (which is a good thing).

some people here just can't wrap their head around that though.... the "just happy to make the playoffs" mentality is strong with this group, and it's that mentality that will keep this franchise stuck in neutral, right where we are, for as long as we continue to support that bullshite
that's why even getting in the playoffs, after Zion went down and it was CLEAR AS DAY that we had no chance of advancing, it would have been better to just lose the fricking 2nd play in game, end the season, preserve our draft position, and pray for changes to be made.... but no... we made sure to frick all that up... but hey, that invaluable playoff experience for Trey, Herb, and Dyson, right guys??

I don't even think it's that. I think it is that obvious that the fit is bad and this isn't working. It's not that fans expect to be better because that's the next step, it is that this team feels like it has left a lot of money on the table and should be better than it is. The whole is not equal to the sum of the parts, but in a bad way.

Did you miss the empty seats and the $7 tickets? It was absolutely crickets in the city regarding this team. I heard more about where LSU womens basketball players were transferring to than what was going on in Pelicans basketball.
It is an absolute embarrassment that you can't fill up your own stadium, which has the smallest seating capacity in the NBA, during a playoff game. There is less support for this team today than there was last year when we lost both playin games.

Tickets were not $7, the fees alone are like $15.

I don't believe David Griffin is happy with the way this season went. He finally got to see the team at full health so that is no longer the excuse. They needed to see what this team could look like at full strength. They saw it was a good, but very flawed team that had a clear ceiling. Now, I believe Griff will feel more impowered to make changes. I can understand the hesitancy to make major changes before seeing what you actually have.

Disagree. It's better that we were able to prove that BI can't be a big piece of a serious contender.
To me, that's worth wayyyyy more than ~4 picks higher in the draft.

Personally
I have been a STH for over a decade. I live walking distance, so its easy to go to games.
During that time i have attended 35+ games a year, but religiously watch every game either live or when i cant, record and watch late via DVR.
Even when things are bad, i have been able to find a silver lining or hope for the future.
I had my two seats last night and leftover venue credit, but i simply could not find the motivation to walk over last night. Nor did i watch.
I just couldn't. It's pathetic.
I bowed down.

Now add in how many tickets last night were comps.

yeah, that'll surely help his trade value... how,, exactly, is this GOOD for us?

so you rather a decreased trade value for BI, while dropping 7 spots in the/ draft, in the process? well, you certainly have a unique way of roster building, i'll give you that much

I didn’t see a single ticket under $18. That’s still nothing to brag about but it’s not $7.

Wrong, I bought a saints game for $7 this year. The guy made one dollar and the fee was $6. Crazy the ticket is normally about 300 bucks.

If you think this series didn't shine a brighter light on our issues and won't motivate Trey and Herb I don't think you really believe they can be real players on a contending team.
