He choose to trade AD.

Revisionist theory? There was no choice.

The only real mistake I would say Griff made was not taking Garland.

That was certainly a big one, but it wasn't the ONLY one. Not trading Lonzo for Lauri was equally as bad in hindsight, as was trading assets and for bigs and then more asset to unload them. He's made several mistakes.

He also wanted to sign Kyle Lowry. Let’s not forget.

It's not so much not trading him for Lauri, as it is letting the Bulls have him in a S&T, when the Bulls could not complete the signing without us doing the S&T, and all we got back was a shite sandwich. And don't tell me we needed Satoransky to get CJ, that's just silly.

and to top it off he gave in to Charlotte and gave away a 1st round pick to S&T for Graham, who Charlotte had no intention of resigning or matching the contract we were offering him. I would have loved to been in the room when they realized they got a 1st round pick from him and it was finalized. They had to have been rolling on the ground laughing at how stupid Griff was. We could have been operating as an under the cap team if we wanted to, and signed him outright at that time. Then the dumbass has to turn around and give 4 2nd round picks away to get rid of him.

He gave up a pick to get rid of Bledsoe, and a month later Memphis trades him and gets back Beverly, Rondo, Oturo, and loses no picks.

Griff has no idea what he's doing, and he never has, and he's going to frick up this offseason if he's still the GM.

I will never undstand that one.

We had 100% of the leverage, Chicago had 0%. I see no world where the Bulls were NOT going to give up at least a 1st to add Lonzo. And if they weren't, oh well...not our problem. I'll just never understand why we couldn't get a 1st out of that deal.

He chose the package and what team to trade him to

Package, yes.

What team to trade him to? Not really. AD and his team poisoned the well to the point where the only serious bidder was the Lake Show.

If Griff doesn’t take that package, at best you are looking at a deal like the Spurs got for Kawhi, the Sixers got for Ben Simmons, or the Blazers got for Dames.

The Spurs got Derozan and Jakob Poetel. Solid players for them but Derozan left as a sign and trade to Chicago and Poetel got flipped back to Toronto.

Simmons effectively fricked up the chemistry of the Sixers by sending some key subs out and Harden coming in after sitting most of a season.

Portland bottomed out by dumping Dames for Ayton, Jrue, and a pick then flipping Jrue for Timelord and Malcolm Brogdon.

The results were far worse than you would have expected given the incoming players plus Scoot Henderson.

We haven’t had massive success but, OTOH, we also haven’t completely flamed out while mortgaging our future like the likes of Houston, Brooklyn, Philly, Atlanta, Phoenix, etc.

We may not have a huge treasure trove left but we also aren’t a team like Atlanta which went all in on Trae Young and Dejounte Murray, losing some key players in the process and fricking up both their cap space and their picks for years.
