Too low in my opinion but at least getting some national recognition.

That’s what I was thinking. At least he’s getting some recognition. Also, SGA and Sabonis being on the list is really something…

SGA led the league in steals. Sabonis was a great rebounder but not sure how that equates to defense.

He finished 5th behind all Centers.

He's the best defensive guard/ wing in the NBA

All Defense team better reflect that.

I’m not saying he’s bad but when I think about DPOY it’s not SGA or Sabonis. I’m still bitter about being swept.

I’m surprised Dort wasn’t on it with the way he shut down our “all star”….

Its going to be really funny when Luka absolutely torches that guy tonight- further showing how bad BI really was.

He was the best non shot blocker essentially in this vote . Pretty solid place to be

10 people voted him top 3 in the DPOY race. Every player behind him on the list got 3 or fewer votes. That seems like significant separation from the other wing defenders.

This is the difference. They won't let him molest Doncic for every minute he's in the floor. If Zion was playing, they would have given BI more calls, but the NBA has no interest in the Pelicans without Zion.

The difference is the Mavs head coach will actively yell at the ref regards to Dort and Doncic will be better at drawing fouls and fighting with refs in regards to him as well.

We'll see how meaningful those votes are when they release the all defensive teams and how Herb stacks up.

Jesus are you blaming the refs for BI being a soft bitch?

Do we not have one local reporter or person in the Pels organization with a vote? If we do, why the hell wouldn’t Herb have a 1st place vote

JMO: Should indicate Herb will make 1st team all-defense. I'd guess he will end up 4th in overall voting for all-defensive team. Some voters will probably NOT want to vote for 4 or 5 "Centers" on 1st team.. Should help Herb.

Does it matter if you are fourth or fifth in all defense team voting? You’re still on the first team

It’s a popularity contest. Gobert wins on his past not his play now. Herb was better than him. Toni and Adebayo both were good also.
