Is the Krewe of Nyx the opposite of "Go Woke, Go Broke"?

The shady captain of Nyx used the krewe social media account to say "All lives matter" and the membership dropped from 3,500 to 200.
There have been many accusations of shady stuff with that krewe, but nothing has been proven, and the captain remains in charge.
Now they are not meeting the minimum requirements of parades, and they are in danger of having their parade permit pulled.
I guess for them it is "Go the opposite of woke, Go Broke"

They were the largest Krewe in all of MG.
Whether you agree with her or not and many would, it was a stupid as hell move not to resign or at least pretend to apologize.

I'd argue it's the fickle nature of cancel culture.
Once the line to hold breaks they all leave because they can't be seen as the dreaded r-word.

They were the most diverse krewe by far. Kinda bad to piss off your own members.
Wife (no pics) was in it for a few years and left because the whole #AllLivesMatter situation made the krewe extremely expensive after membership fallout.
Not to mention the fact that Julie is a sack of shite who took all her board members to “meetings” in Mexico by paying with the dues from members.

Nyx could have saved themselves and just ousted Julie Lea. Unfortunately for them they stayed the course and were ostracized by the liberal majority of white suburban women and uptown folk. Also like 30-40 percent of the Krewe was black women who weren’t going to support Lea.

My wife and her sister literally joined 2 days before this happened. The immediately resigned and got a refund.
Not because they disagreed or anything, they just didn't want to have anything to do with any controversy or get attacked or anything. Wasn't worth it.

That captain doomed the krewe with her shady money/donation shite she pulled a few years ago. I think the "All lives matter" thing was just the icing on the cake. She allegedly held fundraisers for a member after their house burned down but kept the money for herself. She demanded dues in cash and would just pocket the money. Some real shady shite.
But whatevs, the broads that left Nyx have turned Cleo into a freaking super-Krewe. Cleo-Friday is one of the best nights of the entire season.

Its really go political and go broke. By making a stance, she made the other members of the krewe either have to stand by her political statement or just find another parade (of which there are many) that didn't come with a political agenda attached to it.

Haven't they had major issues with parading on time with knocking out power one year and getting stuck on a tree, this year?
Another problem of Nyx was that is grew way too big, way too fast. You start losing control of the Krewe when you start just letting everyone in.
