Always loved the scene in Zero Dark Thirty when they find the compound and have to pitch it for the first time

Maybe , maybe not.

Did we see his dead body ?

We either killed him, captured him, or found absolute proof he was already dead.

You can't announce we got him if there's any risk of him dropping a new video.

I can remember watching Geraldo Rivera announce it on Fox News

Me too. I was a junior in college. It was the day after our Old South party. I was laying on the couch in my living still nursing a hangover. I was flipping through the channels and just happened to stop on Fox News. I saw it and started yelling "F**k yes! USA! USA!" My roommate came out of his room like WTF are you doing and immediately started doing the same thing. We called some girls and walked over to one of our fraternity brothers place in Lake Beau Pre and got drunk AF. It was a great night.

it is unanimous amongst those that saw the body that OBL had no face left

Command requested no head shots. While UBL was bleeding out on the floor O'Neil ignored the order and canoed him. They weren't going to show that to the public.

It was cool being on TD that night and of course knowing what the announcement was before it was reported on the news.

I just got home from Afghanistan a couple months prior. Heard the news, yelled hell yeah, and broke down crying out of joy.

you will never be able to convince me that pakistan didnt know exactly where he was and would not have sold him out on a moment’s notice to the Americans

Christiane Amanpour went on Bill Maher'sHBO show and flat out said he was hiding in Pakistan. This was a LONG time before Obama was president. That whole thing was a shite show.

I read the OP as Obama.

Wishful thinking, I guess.

Jug Ears wouldn't bury a fellow Muslim at sea.

Couldn't guarantee he would be facing Mecca.

Family ties ins to both incidents due to the Army.

My son is a proud Night Stalker whose company put the SEALs on the X plus or minus 30 seconds on target.

My dad drove for the secret service in Paris when Kruschev and Ike met there. He had a front row seat to the ugly end when Ike to Kruschev to frick off.

Osama Bin Laden killed on this date in 2011

Or was he? I always thought they brought him back, put him in one of the underground bunkers at W.P. AFB, and tortured him for 10 years. The whole "He was buried as he would have chosen to be, and is gone like a fart in a hurricane" never had a ring of truth to it.

I am unsure if that, or the "Weapons of mass destruction " lie was bigger.

Was he though?

Buried at sea?

It may be 100% a true story, and if so…GREAT!

However, I wasn’t fully convinced then, and I’m not fully convinced now.
