These issues unfortunately start at home with parenting. A large body of research has established that ACES lead to poor healthy outcomes over the course of someone's entire life, and increased mental health deficiencies.
We respond by cutting daycare subsidies in this state.
that is a new one. Have never seen crime rates and destruction of family blamed on government not paying for daycare.

Not allowed to talk about this. Forcing people to take responsibility for their actions is mean. YOU should pay for their mistakes! If you don’t you’re not a real Christian who is pro life!

Recidivism is a failure by the state to rehabilitate.
This is the mind of a leftist. The person choosing to commit the crimes isn't responsible for his own actions. Someone else is.

Employment is the single biggest factor impacting recidivism. If someone is able to find work, they stay out of jail. 3 downvotes for an established fact?
You're implying causality that isn't established.

Work release kept some criminals in BR from going back to jail.
Guys that they jacked at a card game figured out where they worked and executed them during their smoke break.

Buying a house cost me a lot of money, but I got a house!
You can't evaluate any deal just by looking at the costs; you have to consider the benefits. How much will we save by reducing crime?

Stopping welfare and the destruction of the Black family unit, stop the glorifying of thug lifestyle, and white liberals stop brainwashing Black people into thinking their problems are everyone else's fault. Those 3 things will solve the problem

I
I described the correlation. You drew your own conclusion.

What do you do for a living? What’s your exposure to the criminal justice system?

The amount of crime associated with areas containing a Chicken Shack location in BR is highly correlated.
Does that mean Chicken Shack causes crime or does it mean that the kinds of people who commit crime are likely to be the same ones who would eat at Chicken Shack?

Tents would reduce costs dramatically.
Let's not pretend you want to cut costs, you want to empty prisons because you definitely haven't been brainwashed through your college education.

Reducing parole eligibility is going to cost us a lot of money. With our population shrinking, I wonder how the state plans to pay for the extra expenses of incarcerating people for longer periods. I'm curious what other people's thoughts are.
We could just start executing them.

Works for me.
Someone see if we can rehire One Man Gang at Angola to serve as the executioner. He still lives in Central the last I heard.

Glad I have your permission to do something I’ve already been doing for years. Such a relief.

You don’t see the relevance of your exposure to the criminal justice system? Is that a serious question?

I don’t see what my personal exposure has to do with the looming budgetary crisis. I have never been arrested if that’s what you’re getting at.
