re: At what age do you think you were in your prime?
Posted by Palomitz on 6/6/24 at 9:01 pm
For me, between the ages of 28 to 33 y.o.
Went to the gym, I was active, met a lot of people, went to lots of parties, met and dated good looking girls and life was good.
At 51, I am happily married but out of shape. My hair is silver and wear permanent eye glasses....
re: Is the hottest woman you ever slept with the same woman you married?
Posted by Palomitz on 6/6/24 at 8:48 pm
OK, I'll be honest. I once dated and slept with a 29 year old girl who used to be part of a beach volleyball team. I'm sure that you can imagine her body and thighs.
Did I marry her? Nope....
My dad once lost his absolute shite in the car when Piano Man came on.
Lol! There is a joke among Joel fans that goes: “for a song about the piano man, the guy in the harmonica won’t shut up”.
Maybe that’s what triggered him. ...
might be the worst song Billy Joel ever did
To me, "It's Still Rock and Roll to me" is pretty bad. At least WDSTF has pretty decent guitar riffs....
he was supposedly a punk delinquent in HS,
According to his biography, actually the opposite. He was a short, unpopular kid who used to get his arse kicked often in HS. Then he got into boxing classes and became an amateur boxer for a couple of years, until another boxer broke his n...

I've seen him 9 times in concert, my first one was during his "Storm Front" tour back in 1990. Great times.
I posted a thread weeks ago (Music board) stating that he released a brand new song in 30 years. "Turn the Lights Back On" is a great song and reflects the style of vintage Joel, The Strang...

re: What popular bands still tour with little or no original members?
Chicago is pretty much a different band than the 70s except for a horn player or two.
Yep, the band started around 1968 so you have an idea how old the original members are. I know 2 or 3 original members retired. I heard that Robert Lamm said that he does not have the energy anymo...

Ha! Me.
25 years ago I found out that my wife was cheating on me. We had 8 months married. I never felt so betrayed in my life.
The night that I found out I was so pissed off screaming at her. She played victim. I grabbed a 18"x24" glass, heavy picture frame hanging on the wall and threw it at...

re: Sleep restriction for insomnia
Posted by Palomitz on 3/26/24 at 9:17 pm
I suffer from sleep disorder the past 2 years and it really sucks. A bad night with 3-4 hours sleep will make your new day miserable. And it probably gets worse with age (I'm 51).
I prob have some type of apnea problem. Went to the doctor last year and I was diagnosed with a term that I cannot re...
