I still don't understand how someone can hit from both sides of the plate. Even more impressive to be a freshmen and be good at it....

It looks like the restaurant faired the best of all the buildings. The dancehall roof needs repair, and the hotel looks like it may not be salvageable....

Posted by Specktricity on 5/14/24 at 2:07 pm
You can run direct burial cable the whole way. If its suitable for direct bury it will be suitable indoors as well. You don't have to run in conduit but you can if you like. #2 / 3C with ground should suffice whether aluminum or copper. I would use a UF cable....
See the Venezuela and Guyana dispute
I do agree with you overall, but these 2 situations are vastly different. Benin wants Niger to open its border to trade. Meanwhile, Benin is Niger's only path to get their oil to the market. Benin holds most of the cards in that situation.

Your giving them a good reason to leave for 2 hours to go use the bathroom while still billing you....
re: In the market for a house...
Posted by Specktricity on 5/8/24 at 10:17 am
The state of the market really does suck. We sold our last house almost 2 years ago, and had been renting ever since. We just bought a house in February that we thought was actually worth asking price. Even then it was mostly luck and circumstance. The price of building right now is even worse.

re: Is caulking a metal roof expensive?
Posted by Specktricity on 4/17/24 at 11:42 am
In my experience metal roofs require caulk on all penetrations. Which would be plumbing vents, gas vents, and ventilation. I'm interested because I want to put a metal roof on my camp, but don't like the idea of caulking a roof....

There was a myth busters about this. Even with a sheet of paper the size of a football field, the most they could do was like 11 I think....
re: Tax Filing Extension
Posted by Specktricity on 4/10/24 at 3:44 pm
Yeah, there is an estimated payment amount on the extension form you file. I don't know how they come up with the number. I just know you have to pay it by April 15 and your return is due in October. Same process for state and federal just different deadlines....

Posted by Specktricity on 3/13/24 at 11:30 am
Well the only thing I know of where you can be "absent" from work and not be fired is going to rehab. So that's my guess, and if I'm right good luck to her....
