100% accurate. I never understood how a recruit who chose TCU despite having offers from much larger schools could come in and not have a massive ego.

We didn't have those players when I was there. They might have had an offer from somewhere like Texas Tech or Colorado.

Has his defense been that good since the move to the Big 12?

Led the Big 12 in defense every year but 2015 and 2019. Some computer rating system had our 2014 defense as tops nationally.

Offenses have been the issue. This is the first year where the defense has been bad instead of the offense.

Now they can roll in thinking they're already celebrities.

Reminds me of the OSU QB recruit that has a 7 figure NIL deal that doesn't even travel with the team.

Honestly surprising but thanks. I thought it had dropped off but makes sense.

He had a ton of ops to jump and always stayed loyal……as the saying goes, “it’s nothing personal, it’s just business” even at TCU, Gary.

I don’t believe it has been good the last few years, but yes. They were a pretty stout defense for a while while in the big 12

I think he's leaving immediately because he was tired of so many years of constantly hitching up his pants between every single play.

I honestly think that 14 team could have won it all if they got in the playoff

I don't see his style of coaching much different than Saban. In your face, demanding, doesn't hide his anger, speaks his mind, defense centric teams with an emphasis on speed and violence up front, every player is next man up.

Personally, I think GPs ability to identify and develop talent even into different positions exceeds sabans.of course that may have been by necessity.

How do you think Saban is able to coach with the same fire and iron fist when he surely has a higher number of egomaniac athletes? Does the list of NCs just make the transfer portal less of an issue for him?

Would love to see goldennuggets response, if he were moved to opine.
