Was driving in the car today when "My City was Gone" by the Pretenders came on the radio.. I perked up when it first started, but then remembered it was not the intro bumper into Rush's program.

He was a true patriot and beacon of truth in this dark and despotic world.

He would definitely enjoy what's been going down lately.

The other day I heard the theme music and started imagining what he was about to say about the SCOTUS leak.

Then Clay and Buck started talking

We would all enjoy Rush ripping Mr Potato heads assess everyday. Unfortunately we lost our great Conservative Voice. RIP to the greatest.

He is irreplaceable.

No one will ever be like him.

Some may be similar but there will only ever be one Rush.

May God bless his soul.

same here - was a fixture on my radio in the 11-2 slot for 30 years. Once in a while even now, I notice when 11:00 is approaching and have a conditioned instinct to get to a radio. Then sadness.

I had heard his name on the Larry King late nite show - and King said "I don't like liars" - so I immediately formed an image of some tall skinny undertaker looking bad guy with a beard. Started looking for his show, but thought it was at night so never found it - just wanted to hear some "vicious liar" to see what was going on.

I'll never forget the first time I heard him. Was coming home from vacation and had just come over the bridge from Canada into Michigan and was looking for a talk show. This great voice appeared, and I actually agreed with everything he said, so I stayed with him. Then at the break, I found out it was Rush Limbaugh. Been a devoted fan ever since.

Really miss his unique skills and his uncommon understanding of the pulse of the situation.

God reclaimed the talent he loaned. Hopefully he will lend it to another.
We miss him all across the fruited plain. We miss his optimism that somehow freedom would win out.

I tried probably a hundred times to get into rush and never even got a ring.

I got into clay and buck on the first attempt last Friday.

There will be no replacing him.

Heard This Old Heart of Mine today.....

This old heart of mine been broke a thousand times
Each time you break away I feel you're gone to stay
Lonely nights that come, memories that flow
Bringin' ya back again, hurting me more and more

Miss you Rush!

Rush taught us how to view the left. He taught us critical thinking. Then he taught us what to think

God Bless Rush.

A 'teacher' spirit like Rush would know that real success is measured when the 'students' learn enough to take flight on their own. Albeit Rush was an 'entertainer' as well, and a singularly great one. I miss him too, especially the humor; but I think he may be spared pain wherein a lot of us who live forward, will not. God speed.

I question almost every day why he was taken from us at this particular time.

Before seeing this thread I just used the world “sche-shual” in a sentence and my wife looked at me crazy and I said that’s how Rush would say it.

Since Rush died, I find myself more of a misanthrope. And I wasn't even an avid listener, but loved to tune in from time to time.

Maybe I just really am a misanthrope.

No one understood liberals like Rush. He had the best takes on any situation.

Rush was great during the 2000 presidential campaign and the Florida recount. A lot like the PT board during the 2016 campaign.

“Rush, in recognition of all that you have done for our nation, the millions of people a day that you speak to and that you inspire, and all of the incredible work you have done for charity, I am proud to announce tonight that you will be receiving our country’s highest civilian honor, the Presidential Medal of Freedom.”
– PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP
2020 State of the Union Address

I cried when that happened. No shame in admitting it either. It felt like we got it along with him because we had that connection with him. I tried listening to Clay and Buck but it just isn't the same so I no longer do. Hannity & Levin aren't really my thing either. But I scheduled my day around Rush so I could have the Dittocam up and running.

Talk radio is not the same. I really miss Rush. He was like a family member. I would love to hear his opinion about putin and Ukraine.
