Somehow I missed out on this but it looks to be right up my alley.
Legit?
Board dug it when it was first released?

Excellent show, can be a little slow at times but definitely delivers towards the end.

Absolutely. You’re going to question why you’re watching through the first 2-3 episodes but man, when shite hits the fan, it’s a fun wild ride. It’s great

I loved it, but think he has some serious plot holes. Hamish Linklater was excellent.

It's pretty good along with the other Mike Flanagan series.

Wife and I watched it when it came out. I would watch it again. Loved the atmosphere/setting of this show

I actually really enjoyed this show. Plus it has a bunch of bangin Neil Diamond tracks sprinkled in.

It's good stuff. Like others have said, it can drag at times, but it picks up nicely in the second half.

Absolutely yes. Slight slow burn in the beginning, however that is the setup for the story.

Slow start. A lot of existential debate that becomes fairly inconsequential.

We got 1 episode in and were underwhelmed for it to be Mike Flanagan.
With the series having been canceled by Netflix, is the one season worth it without being plagued by cliffhangers?

Anything Mike Flanagan writes, directs, and edits is always worth a watch

First episode was awesome.
Loved the atmosphere and look of the show.

The first 4 or 5 episodes are pretty damn good, but it kind of falls apart the last 2 episodes. Turns into a cheap c-rate horror film.

Just finished it, what a ride.
SPOILERS:
A demon/vampire under the pretense of a man of faith believing it’s an Angel is a hell of a story. Pruitt really thought he was doing good. Wild how he could basically just turn anything insane into a test or passage talked about in the Bible is brutal.
Riley sacrificing himself and then shown with the girl he killed going up into Heaven as a redemption arc was outstanding.
Loved Greene slashing its wings as a frick you to the main Vamp while it fed so it couldn’t go anywhere else.
Felt bad for the sheriff, dude watched his kid turn and then died himself trying to protect the people.
Flanagan is pretty much undefeated.

Watched it over the last 2 weekends and I thought it was really good. Had flaws (that could have been fixed and needed some more ambiguity about the demon-vampire) but was good.
I'm reading this old thread and laughing at people melting down over it.
They're even calling it anti-Christian which is lol-worthy.
