We have to start working the count in our favor and stop trying to do so much at the plate. Jones and Jobert just needed to manufacture 1 run there.

Agreed neither one has plate discipline. Both can’t hit curve ball.

Ever since he moved Thompson in front of Jones the offense has sputtered. Anytime we get on a roll he changes something.

I could post the numbers but I’ve learned people like you have no use for facts or reality.

No they aren’t awful. They just swept Missouri and has played every series tough so far. Their starting pitching is actually pretty dang good

I’m reasonable, go ahead and give me the numbers that support your last sentence. I’m wrong plenty, as a matter of fact I like learning from others.
Learn me something, share the numbers.

Since he moved Thompson to the cleanup then 5th spot, the last 5 games, we’ve averaged 3 runs per game less than we did the previous 6 games. During this span Thompson’s average has dropped 44 points and Jones’ has dropped 17 points.

Nothing else changed during the last 5 games to cause the changes? Are you saying we were on a roll so coach just decided to change things up?
Is this really your numbers?

You asked for data, I gave it to you and now you’re predictably moving the goal post. Prior to those 6 previous games he had moved Thompson up again and our the production dropped again. He also did something like that prior to SEC play when we had 10 run ruled like 6 of 7 straight opponents, moving Kling to lead off and Dugas to the middle of the order. Kling went 1-15 that weekend, Dugas 2-9 and Kling never recovered with his Average dropping over 100 points.

Hey hey, these are good numbers Madguy. I’m not moving anything. I simply disagree with you that the coach doesn’t just move things around arbitrarily and as you stated changes things up when the team is on a roll.
For the last couple weeks we haven’t had the starting lineup he would prefer due to injuries but you didn’t acknowledge that at all. Instead, you just point out that coach adjusts things (when he has/needs to) and it actually affects the outcome of games.
Further I just really enjoy hearing/seeing guys complain about a team that has been ranked number 1 the entire year and hasn’t lost 2 games in a row the entire year, nor have they lost a series.
And we have guys, in this case like you share some info and manage to blame the coach insinuating he is continuously making poor decisions. Yet his team has improved appreciably from last year and continues to impress enough reporters and coaches to remain the consensus number 1 team despite the injuries to key position players and pitchers.
