Crews had an exit velo of 112 MPH and still didn't get over. SEC Now said Travinski was dealing with a nagging injury

So he doesnt get credit for the Tennessee runner he gunned down at 2nd attempting to steal back in the 1st game? Wasnt even close.

Problem with starting Milazzo is you probably don’t want to pinch hit him in the 8th inning with runners in scoring position with 2 outs… they should start travinski and make a defensive sub based off the situation. Not a fan of riding Milazzo all game

To expect LSU's bullpen to given you another tremendous outing like they did last night is asking a lot. LSU is likely going to have to score more than just a few runs to be Wake both tonight and (if they get that far) tomorrow. Milazzo's ABs are not even competitive. I get that the wind is blowing in, but that doesn't means Travinski still isn't capable to getting one into the gap for a 2B. Given that Thompson has been awful at the plate and Pearson hasn't been all that much better, it's really tough to stick a guy in the lineup who is almost a guaranteed out.

Milazzo didn't play last night because the coaches were fearful of Travinski's defense. He played because evidently (or purportedly) Travinski was hurt. It's he's physically capable to go today Travinski hast to get the start. It would be tough to go into an elimination game, where you are solely relying on the back-end of an inconsistent bullpen, with your 7-9 hitters being almost no threat at all.

Agreed, this is my philosophy on the subject. We need that extra bat in the lineup tonight then sub Milazzo late for Trav for defense if we are ahead.

Catching four days in a row is very hard to do. He was going to have to have a break at some point. Depending on severity of the injury, Travinski will play at some point tonight

I thought Jared Jones was a very decent catcher in High School?

If the wind stays the same its been the past 2 nights I start Milazzo.

And I would also start Money on the mound.

It really wasn't a very good throw; it wasn't on the bag and was well towards the first base side. He was quick with it and it helped Skenes got it to him quick. Still believe a huge play in that game was the first pitch to Wilkin that could have been called a strike but Trav didn't catch it. Down 1-0 with the bases loaded, Hurd had to throw a strike and Wilkin pounded it for the first run. If Trav's bat hadn't cooled off considerably it would be a no-brainer to start him; lot harder call now.

We could always use Skenes. He caught at AF. I mean, who's gonna run on him?

This is an easy choice.
If you need to, you can pinch hit Trav — But Milazzo has to get the start after yesterday.

I’ve seen Trav cost us runs & I’ve seen Millazo save runs. Neither of them are hitting so…

Longest HR ever in that park for CWS is 456 ft. So even if Trav destroys one its possibly staying in the park

Runs are a premium now. Gotta go Milazzo for the glove until that wind settles or blows out

His defense was always very suspect. His draft value was in his bat. Most expected him to not stick at C. Same with Frey.

90% of D1 catchers make that throw. Fastball away from a lefty, bascially a pitch out. Decent throw on a runner with a decent jump. Milazzo makes that throw with his hands behind his back.

Supposedly he's back to full health but not on the official roster. Jay brought him to Omama for the experience.

Milazzo's defense was stellar last night. He saved runs and helped with strikes.

These games are pitchers duels. Can't give up cheap runs. Period.

Travinski is in a major slump.
