Just need some MTX amps and Rockford Fosgate subs and an Alpine head unit then your time machine will be ready.

I could blast some Bill Monroe and Del McCoury.

When I graduated college I had no money but wanted a new vehicle. I'd been driving an 82 Toyota truck and with over 200k miles on it I wanted something newer. I gave the truck to my brother and bought an Isuzu Amigo. I put over 200k miles on that little piece of shite. It kinda looked cool and I put a hard top shell on it because the soft top leaked like a hose. It was under powered, 2 wheel drive, and I loved it. For a while I had a job where I travelled for work and I drove that think all over the south. When I traded it in I think I had close to 300K miles.

A buddy had a Trooper and his wife had a Rodeo. They put close to 300k on them. A tree fell on the Rodeo but it still ran.

They weren't Toyotas, but they were damn close.

Side note, my brother took the Toyota truck up to 350k miles before he got rid of it. The guy he sold it to still has it and I hear it still runs. I told my brother to tell the guy I'd buy it from him if he ever wanted to sell it.

I had a Toyota version of this truck. The sheet metal was thin as paper, but it ran a long time.

Nah, mine's just a ground pounder, it's never been airborne on purpose.

I put a new set of tires on and a new battery in it on the same day in 2018.

I put some air in all the tires and checked all the fluid levels and drove it around a few miles. Other than needing some exhaust work, it's good to go.

I hope you have new tires on order soon

Gonna wait and see what happens driving locally. These tires look pretty good though. No visible cracking or anything.

Not sure if it's a '92 but my uncle has been driving a trooper for at least 20 years.

I'm gonna find a way to post some photos soon. It's pouring rain this morning. I wish I had sprayed it with degreaser last night.

On another note, I knew a gal who had one and went to meet Jody on opening day of deer season. It crapped out on 190, somewhere over the basin near Krotz Springs. She had to call her husband to come rescue her. Good times for her.
Sounds like it was more like Krotch Springs….

Mine was a beast, I built a trailer and hauled my softball equip all over the country.
Think this was in Colorado or Wyoming, all I have to remember it.

As it is right now, it just looks nasty and dirty.
A friend of mine came by a few minutes ago and he noticed that it wasn't in the same old place, so we went out there and I fired it up.
He said " I've been thinking about trying to buy it off of you, I guess I done waited too late"

I had a 87 Trooper. Oil pump went out and locked the motor up at just over 300k miles. It was a 2 door and the backseat windows were sliding windows. Great vehicles.
