Trump is a lifelong limousine liberal who did nothing to shrink the federal government

The progressive left pushed the Democratic Party so far extreme that the Republican Party in 2024 is the Democratic Party of old. The Conservative Party of old is dead (and has been for some time) and actual small government conservatives have no home. For now this is true: They won. We lost.
Worse we’ve either accepted that fact or are willfully ignorant of it. Trump has convinced a bunch of people he’s some kind of small government conservative champion and his loyal followers parrot that narrative. The inability to question or discuss a politician’s stances or past record is championed by Trump and his followers.
Some of you are so giddy to vote for the arrogant jackass or so tired of fighting or so unwilling to fight you just slump to the booth and vote for the lesser of two evils rather than fight for what you know is good and right. And so every day we lose more ground and sacrifice more of our principles.
This country was founded on the principles of a limited federal government, an engaged and educated voting populace, and the willingness to fight for those things. We have lost the will to fight and accepted the destruction of those founding principles as a part of everyday life. It’s sad.
We need a party for those of us who are small government conservatives. And those of you who say “I could never support a third party because you’re just giving our opposing party a win” wake up. They’ve already won. Either fight back or sit down, shut up, and take orders from your authoritarian overlords.

So, are you voting Trump or not, in the general?

Turn the AC back on because you are getting way too hot and your sweat is clearly melting on this board

I'll give you a real response.
If you want this, you are going to have to deal with the shite show we have first. Our government is controlled by forces outside of government...and I'm not talking about voters.
There's a political movement that's solely dedicated to solving this problem. You are welcome to join it if you want.

Trump is not an ideological liberal or an ideological conservative, he's a pragmatic problem solver and in this day and age most of the problems we face have left/liberal origins.

Political melt! That’s new

The Ronbots and Cult45 laughed at Ron Paul in 2008 and 2012. The last true hope for us couldn't get more than 20% of the Republican vote in a primary. They're both full of shite. Americans are a fat and stupid people who can't wipe their arse without the government telling them to. This country is an abomination and cannot be saved.

I'd be interested in how you believe you get that done.
You can form all the parties you want, but if you caucus and vote with the republicans you are eventually co-opted or destroyed by the republican establishment. (see: Tea Party)
You can remain independent from the republican party, nominating your own candidates for each office. However, you would be able to gauge your success by how many marxist democrats win those elections. Success would mean veto proof majorities for the marxists in any body you want to name, as the republican vote is split.
Or, you can vote for the most conservative candidate who has a chance to win, just like most of us has resigned to do. I decided long ago that the extent of my protest against the establishment republicans will be to vote for a third party conservative only when I know that the marxist cannot win, or when the idiot republicans nominate another establishment shitbag that I simply cannot vote for. (see: Haley)

Wow those tears were delicious

I recall in his first week in office he signed an EO saying nobody can make a new regulation without eliminating two previous regulations. That's in the smaller government direction.
