I talked to a fella yesterday that's pretty close to the athletic program. Mussleman is the guy that UL wants, and the feeling is mutual. He wants out of Arkansas due to the lack of NIL money in Fayetteville. Think about that for a second. Arkansas, Wal Mart? Evidently, the money is scarce. Take it for what its worth. Another name is Shaka Smart.

Best hire for the Louisville would be Nate Oates.

They bought a bunch of transfers out of the portal, including the best guy from Louisville's team(granted Louisville sucked dickholes). Louisville is going to spend big on the coach and players to get out this hole but money ain't scarce for Arkansas basketball.

I’d say Southern Miss football hiring Ellis was worse

KP was quoted with some nonsense recently, stating he thought he "would get more runway" to fix the program.

AD Josh Heird comes across, to me, as someone who will bow down to the Jerry Eaves/Butch Beard faction that stands behind KP. That said, I would be surprised, but not shocked, if they keep KP around another season.

You can’t keep him another year. It’s a bad look to have like 1-2K people in a 20k arena. Just chalk it up to a bad hire and move on

Crawford said he was told yesterday he's fired, and they cancelled practice. Also that they want Musselman. I find that weird and not better.

Louisville is expected to part ways with Kenny Payne after two seasons, source told @TheFieldOf68. Likely be official in the next 24-48 hours. Payne won 12 total games in two seasons.

Beard is the next best option, after Scott Drew. I don't see Drew leaving Baylor, and Louisville might be hesitant to consider Beard, in light of the incident at Texas.

Lot of chatter going on about Dusty May and Josh Schertz, from Indiana State. Cronin is a big no, IMO.

After that train wreck of a press conference, where KP blamed the fans and everyone associated with UofL, it can't come soon enough.

Payne took zero accountability, from day one. Even in failure, it was always someone else's fault. Most people can be empathetic to someone who takes ownership of failure and shortcomings. Payne was always too good to do that, and really came across as an entitled, and frankly, not too bright, prick.

I honestly thought Payne was going to be a good hire for Louisville. I'm surprised it went the way it did. I thought he was a big recruiter for UK, but maybe that was still mostly Cal.

I would go get Beard. I think Muss will just be another fired coach after 3 seasons.

The fans apparently want Scott Drew.

This should be interesting.
