If you want to pick a Yankee, you missed the obvious one.

You're gonna get downvoted into oblivion, but you're not wrong.

Jeter gets shite on a lot. He was never the best, most athletic SS during his MLB career, but he was solid/clutch.

This man never had a losing season.
(Only player ever)

He had a vote of 99.7% for the Hall of Fame.
(2nd highest % All Time behind Mo)

He’s ranked 6th in MLB History for hits.
(Over 20,000 have played in MLB)

He won 5 Gold Gloves, 5 Rings, and has the most postseason hits ever with 200. That’s 72 hits ahead of the second player.

Career .310 lifetime batter (20 seasons) and career .308 in the postseason.

He was class and gave everything he had on and off the field.

Jeter is overrated, but still deserving of being in the HOF.

Jeter is so overrated he's underrated at this point. 15+ years of above average counts for something. He was never the best at his position, but he was far from the worst.

If we're talking overrated Yankees I'd argue multiple guys over Jeter.

Guy somehow slayed literally all the pussy and never got caught up in the back pages. That's honestly more impressive than his baseball career.

Meh, Jeter was pretty clutch when it counted. His defense was maybe average.

You make a good case, IMHO he is a pretty good case for the term overrated. Good player yes, but if he played for the Pirates all his life.......
