And neither the Senate nor the President have two nickels to rub together unless spending bills make it through the House. He controls what bills get voted on in the house. His Achilles heel is that 75% of his fellow republicans and 90% of the party bureaucracy are capitulating shitbags.

The Speaker debacle is a symptom of the republican party being out of touch with their voters, and why republicans will probably never be in control again. Too many of them look at all the success of the marxist democrats and figure the path of least resistance is to adopt marxist/socialist policy, while selling conservatism to their ignorant voters.

His word was to end the endless spending on Ukraine. Spending bills start in the House.

So how does he gets a spending bill without Ukraine spending through the DEM Senate and Biden?

Smoothbrain here. What are the substantive differences, besides a bunch of culture war BS?

Ukraine would be fully funded. Israel fully funded. Gaza fully funded. Border open. Trillions in debt added.

This isn't a sport. It doesn't matter if your team "wins" if the things you are against still happen.

Outside of culture war shite, there isn't a 5 percent difference in the parties.

Make it a stand alone bill.

Along with a lot of others.

RIP GumboPot

But, that's ultimately a tomato tomato scenario, when the Senate/President won't accept them. My question gets repeated.

How does DEM Senate and Biden get a spending bill FROM a Republican house WITH Ukraine spending?

Chicken - Egg.

Incredible isn't it? Somehow they think the best way to win is to forfeit. I'm glad they aren't the LSU football coach.

Lots of public support from voters (among both parties)

Politics isn't a sport and sports analogies are moronic.

Refusing to push these bills through is not "forfeiting".

The truth is he, and they, support them and are for these bills. The idea that they are being forced is a psy-op.

How is government going to shutdown if there is a stand off over a stand alone Ukraine funding bill?

That's one of the points of making it stand alone. No other motives to influence voting.

With a one or two person majority, these republicans are just nuts. I wince in thinking I used to think they were okay. Is MTG in jeopardy of losing her race in six short months. That wing of the GOP is ate up with cray, cray.

Not if the Senate rejects a bill passed by the house.

Johnson could have brought single bill to fund the government to the floor if the GOP was so worried how they looked.
