Boehner, Ryan, McCarthy, and now Johnson have all been terrible. Why is it so much to ask for conservatives to govern like conservatives? A provision to require warrants in order to reauthorize FISA is the bare minimum. In honesty, FISA should be done away with entirely. These insane trillion dollar stopgap spending bills are driving up inflation and will ruin the monetary system. Pass a real budget or shut down the government. So fricking tired of these weak arse Republicans.

100% agree. I would keep finding new ones until someone demonstrates some integrity and spine.

Because so many in the GOP want "compromise," while they're up against people who would just as soon cut your throat. Compromise to the Democrats is submitting to their will, not joining together for a common purpose.

Imagine being so stupid that you fail to consider, after your ill-informed, dangerous, unpopular ideas consistently fail to gain enough support to sway your chosen leadership, that maybe you’re wrong. Maybe MTG is a trashy bitch. Maybe FISA is necessary? Maybe conservative media sells you your own terrible ideas in a looping profit machine?

Sacks has been spot on about Johnson since day 1. Also, about the war in Ukraine and a million other things lately. Y'all should follow him if you're not

Here’s the message.

You are in the minority.

Congee is doing what the majority elected them to do.

Elections matter.

Dumb dumb and dumber.

The problem is the makeup of individual members of Congress. This is the reality the Speaker is dealing with.

The Republican party has zero leadership and is adrift, and the voters are addicted to incumbents.

Republicans don’t all vote in lock step, there isn’t a list of policies that if you don’t adhere to you are thrown out. The margin is so thin in the house that even the most conservative Republican couldn’t get the votes to do anything, and would likely be removed.

Democrats went through the same issue a few years back in the Senate, the difference is they didn’t attack their leadership, they attack the more conservative members.

So why isn’t Johnson attacking the more liberal Republicans who won’t pass conservative bills? Maybe it just isn’t one or two, perhaps it’s 50 or more and he is in a no win situation

No one wanted to listen when I said Johnson isn’t who he says he is. Having a good politician is like finding a needle in a haystack

Whoever you plug in is likely going to end up the same.
because they will be blackmailed or coerced by the intelligence community shoving them in a SCIF and showing them horrible things that will happen if they don't follow the plan.

Not sure how any ‘conservative’ votes for Republicans. What’s the point of your guy winning if you still get big gov’t? Starting wasting your vote on some principled third party that more aligns with your values.

I really liked John Boehner (at first). Same goes for Paul Ryan. Both quickly went south. What is it with these guys?

List of speakers of the United States House of Representatives

Gaetz and MTG are under-appreciated as guardians of this position.
