I'm a little on the fence, but I have long said the Pelicans need a microwave, a guy that can just instantly cook a defense from 3 preferably.
I think having a guy like Young would in theory free up Zion to be more Zion, especially if they can also add a rim runner or stretch 5

He averages almost 11 assists per game, if that’s nit “true point guard” I don’t know what is.

Again, 11 assists per game, and his usage rate is not much higher than Ingram’s, so he would just fit into that slot, and also more touches will be gained with CJ going to the bench role.

Correct, amplified as in CJ as a legitimate PG, CJ is a perfect fit for this team despite the people here that think an off night of shooting makes him a bad player.

Yeah I don't see how anyone could want Trae Young after watching how iso ball with BI screws up the offensive flow.
