I feel like a champ if I keep it under $10k per month

I never let it get that high. I'm so OCD about debt that sometimes I'll use it, then immediately go into my banking app and transfer money from checking to the CC. Just opening my app and seeing a credit card balance makes my flesh crawl. I know it's weird and unhealthy, but I can't help it.

I don’t have a credit card

Get one. First off, I get $1,000-$1,500/year cash back that gets deposited into my savings account every month. Secondly, with identity theft and hackers, I don't want my debit card number floating around. I use the credit card exclusively as a buffer between between crooks and my actual checking account. The only time I ever use my debit card is getting cash from the ATM at my bank.

Somebody got my credit card info and charged 4k in Lyft rides to it last year. I would have lost my shite if it was my debit card but my credit card handled it no problem.

Only inconvenience was I had to pay the total bill with the fraud charges because they couldn’t tell me what I owed to avoid interest minus the fraud.

Basically I couldn’t short pay the fraud charges.

When I was younger, I had an AMEX and would put all my expenses on it, then pay at months end. But now I only put emergency stuff on my CC and do everything on debit. If the paycheck doesn’t cover it, it can wait. I’ve also been paying down old balances on the CC and to a lesser extent, adding a trickle to the savings account. It’s harder to do these days then it was just 4 or 5 years ago.

I put pretty much everything on the card besides a few thing that auto withdraw and then pay it off on the due date.

Points are relatively nice

59k last year on my CC. Everything but my mortgage and electric bill go on it.

Car payments on it? I never have really looked into that.

I pay my car notes and car insurance out of checking.

Absolutely everything that can go on a card goes on a card for us and it's paid off each month. I've never once paid interest on a card. It's not crazy to have a 10k credit card bill if we have major purchases that month, so 1k will pop up fast. Hell, I've negotiated putting large portions of a new car purchase on a credit card to get the cash back.

About 6-7 days, we average about 4k per cycle but we also use the card like a bank account and just pay off full each month.

It’s completely normal. 99% of the citizens have it. They keep the world moving. Nothing wrong as long as you’re not being reckless with what you purchase.
