re: Pels want to move to top of draft, BI to be “aggressively” shopped per Stein

The key is can Griffin find a trade partner that still believes they can reinvent BI.
Teams just have to be built differently than we are and BI works.
BI is certainly worth less this year compared to last year, but he still has a lot of value.
Again, 25/5/5 on good %s is rare. Adding playmaking ability makes that population even smaller.
He's not perfect, but he's still a top 40-50 player.

quote:'ve mentioned that before, where having Lauri and Tup with Zion sounds perfect, but I question just how could it can be as if you have a non-playmaking center, you now have 3 dudes in your starting lineup that are basically complete zeroes at creating for themselves. That doesn't sound ideal, unless Zion was Luka level heliocentric, which we know he's not and can't be.
The biggest issue with LM is he has to be assisted. Losing our 2nd best playmaker in exchange for LM, would be a problem.

How many contending teams are built around a wing who dominates the ball, doesn’t shoot 3s, prefers shooting midrange to driving in the paint, doesn’t generate many free throws, and isn’t strong on the defensive end or in clutch situations?
No team is built that way. His game is a problem in todays nba.

And CJ isn't exactly great at making his own shot these days, and showed he's much better as a secondary guy this past year.

Yes.
That's why when I talk about reconstructing our roster, the big is primarily defensive. It's unfair to expect playmaking from that position.
Trading BI has to result in a ball handler, shooter, and playmaker.

How many contending teams
There are only 4-5 contending teams in the NBA.
Our trade market is a lot larger than those teams.

Ok avoiding the question. How many teams in the NBA are built around a player like BI? Name just one team that is built around a player like him?

My comment above in no way does that.
You're created a very framed question. Might as well ask how many teams are built around a player named "Brandon Ingram" while you're at it

Reed Sheppard with the highest max vertical so far at 42 inches
So much for the “Sheppard isn’t athletic” crowd

Still haven’t answered the question. Name any NBA team built around a player like Ingram?
Board- watch how he dances around this question and doesn’t answer it. Blames it on framing, strawman or grammar nuances rather than just answering the question. Again you’re a very predictable poster.

SlowFloPro will completely ignore your post because it doesn’t fit his argument of a random white point guard.

I already said why. You've framed it so much, you should have included the qualifier "Brandon Ingram" too
How many teams in the NBA are built around a 7-footer who routinely gets 10 assists per game and is from Serbia and likes to race horses and has a player with an almost identical name playing in Miami?

You clearly need to re-read what I said about Sheppard.
But making shite up is your pattern, so it's not shocking you did it again.

This is where this board has lost its way with BI. You can only see the last 2 years. He shot over 6 3s a game under Gentry and Finch before the keys were handed to him. He will adjust to not being a #1 wherever he is traded. It’s a shame he can’t do it here, but once roles are established it’s hard to not see that kind of change as a demotion.

Really go back and state where you posted teams built around a player like BI?? Who’s being dishonest now??
So now you’re comparing BI to Jokic to distract posters from again NOT ANSWERING THE QUESTION.

I have to imagine a lot of this is Griffin's fault, b/c he clearly had a man crush on BI and it had to be known how much Griff loved/valued BI

So he can’t shoot 3s and handle the ball at the same time?
We went point Zion in the second half- he still didn’t shoot 3s. You guys need to stop making excuses for him.

SLOWFLOWPRO STILL HAS NOT ANSWERED THE QUESTION:
Name any NBA team that structures their team around a player like Ingram?
Man up and answer the question. Or just say you were wrong.

Now its Griffins fault that he liked him so much that he couldn’t shoot 3s and adjust.
Seriously what the frick are we doing here???

Lol you never answer questions and then call people straw man.
Im not making shite up- you literally said our best option in the draft is a white point guard. You also meant that in a demeaning way like hes not worth shite in your reference. Now you’re backtracking. You’re so fricking predictable.
