I think Crowton tends to do well when working off of someone else’s system. When he tries to fully implement his own, he falls apart.

Let's hope we don't see a repeat of that this year then.

Crowton had a shite ton of formations and personnel and one play out of each like he was playing Tecmo Bowl. He was definitely shitty

What happens if LSU goes 7-5 and Maryland goes 8-4?

That’s not exactly a fair statement. Canada came to LSU mostly because he was told he would be allowed to run his offense completely and in hopes to one day become a HC. That was the selling point aside from money. O promised to let his coaches coach. Of course a HC should have final input because it’s his team. It was just not what he signed up for in this situation.

Canada is an actual OC, so even as HC.. of course it’s going to be his offense.. that’s probably understood with whoever he promotes or hires as OC. Different sort of situation, but understood nonetheless. Right?

Any ways, I wish him success and appreciate his time here.

I think with the o line and wide receiver depth along with the addition of Burrow, Canadas scheme would have been very successful here this year. Now we are going to Steve ensminger and talking about potential unproven at RB whatever. 2016 LSU was loaded. This years O talent will he better than last everywhere but RB, so it should be interesting.

Their current roster and increased depth at WR and OL would have been Taylormade for MC

Except for redzone scoring sucking balls, I liked what Canada was doing. I saw a work in progress, repeatedly interrupted, but significant progress nonetheless.

Being an OL guy, I have to note that Canada's offense was very OL friendly. His scheme gives them some advantages that allow the band-aiding of deficiencies.

Now the guy obviously has some personality issues. I, frankly, wished he and Orgeron could have worked it out. But based on both those two histories- the personal conflict has to be laid at Canada's feet.

Hell no. Keep that gimmickie offense out of here. It will never work long term in the SEC.

Well, the argument will soon be settled. If Orgeron is a pile of cat shite of a coach, and Canada is the one the rant is all queer for, Canada's success, or not as interim coach should indeed be compared to Orgeron's professional efforts as interim coach.

I am of the camp who would like to buy Canada for what he is worth, and sell him for what Canada thinks he's worth.

Didn't Etling say that they were running some of the old playbook from 2016 at one point last season. If so, that is another example of unconscionable decision making by Orgeron.

CEO never should have hired Canada in the 1st place. That was the biggest mistake he made. I guess he thought that gimmickie offense might actually work and then when he remembered he plays in the SEC, he wanted to go back to a game plan that actually works.
