Exactly what state do you think we’re in?
11-12 over the last two seasons and we played a WR at QB and had walk ons playing defense for us in the bowl game

That’s the state of the program the last two years. Absolute dog shite.

The state of the program in January is not the state of the program in June. January was the past—that was the state of the program then. June is the present—this is the state of the program now, in the present. Hard to quantify, I’ll give you, but 2 completely different states. Our nothing bowl against Kansas State in January has absolutely zero to do with the state of our program on June 7th. I’m surprised you’re not smart enough to comprehend this.

This isn’t necessarily true. Burrow was still going to transfer from Ohio state.

I think the only way we don't get O with Aleva is if we actually hire Hermann I believe. If we hire Hermann, I think we still get Burrow because they had a connection. Herman recruited him to Ohio State.

But I wouldn't want to change anything and risk 2019 TBH.

If you would do anything that would in the slightest way monkey with 2019 you should be put in the no-time-travel list because that would be terrorism.

No - you change one thing, you change everything.

If you want LSU football without Joe Burrow, the 2019 National Championship and everything that went with it, then I don’t know what to say.
I’m just sorry that the whole COVID pandemic prevent everything LSU from taking its richly deserved victory lap !

That's a good point. Burrow's first choice was to start at Ohio State, and when that didn't happen, he hit the road.

Nebraska said thanks, but no thanks.

That left LSU and Cincinnati as his options. Now, you can point out Cincy made the playoffs this year, but in 2018 they weren't a realistic contender.
LSU, on the other hand, was a contender, classically a team loaded with talent but no QB. Mettenberger and Etling both transferred in and became the starter, and got drafted.

Now, if you go with a different head coach, there's a very strong chance you don't get the "Brady" offense (probably like 100% we don't). But, did Burrow need him specifically, or did we just need a guy willing to open things up?
And does a new coach bring in an outsider, or does he try to develop Brennan?

Next question would be, if it were Aranda, does he even crank up the offense, or does he (like Saban for years, and Miles here) prefer to lean on the defense and a running game, and not risk passing? I do think there was a mandate for more offense, but Aranda seems to like to play it safe.

And give up 2019, the GOAT team, Joe Burrow, chase, etc.? You are insane. I know exactly what I'd do. Enjoy the ride again.

No way.

It was entertaining/embarrassing but he is the reason we won 2019 and posted the greatest team in NCAA history.

He pissed a lot of people off by squandering what he had EARNED. Damn it, O!!!

Now, O definitely mailed it in after 2019. But, for 2019, I wouldn't trade anything.

There were signs before 2019 that O was he is. It was a perfect storm for him in 2019 and it was a great year - but for me the rationalization that he mailed it in his last two years glosses over other flaws aside from the effort that were there all along.

But this program is an absolute disaster right now, and I’m uneasy about the rebuild. If the rebuild doesn’t happen, I think a lot of people would have a different opinion in a few years

The rebuild will be extremely harder with NIL

A&M will continue to excel with their commitment
Alabama will also
Texas and Oklahoma entering the conference

College football is forever changed, and this is not on "O"

It does if you hire Fuente or Fleck.

O retires after 2019, rough 2020 season from attrition, 2021 is a decent.

100000% no.

2019 was the greatest College Football season ever, to say that you lose O means you lose that. I said when the season ended in 19, the results of that season won't have me upset for at least 3-4 seasons. We are now going into year 3, and I can say it's still holds up. I might start really caring about the results next season.

Will it ever end? No I would not they brought us 2 NCs before them we had 2 in our history. Can LSU fans ever just appreciate what previous players and coaches have accomplished instead of constantly chitting on them? What are you doing with your time to come up with this question?
