Tell the self centered QB that used his teammates to win a Heisman then bolted on them this very thing.

If you think Missouri beating the Butteyes and the awful Florida State performance after their players quit doesn’t matter, you’re brain dead.

I heard the same against Purdue. We won by a large margin and it didn’t mean diddly

Yeah, that fiasco against KState a couple of years ago really derailed BK's first year

CFB seasons are now almost completely independent of the prior year(s). How many players next year will (hopefully) be making an impact on the LSU roster aren't even on the team now, much less in Tampa ready to play.

There are very likely quite a dominos that can render the future bright vs. muddy. Improvements as noted plus continued accolades to Sloan in developing top QBs seems especially important with recruiting decisions anticipated in the following week.

It is not a worthless game.

Are we a double digit favorite based off of starters who won't be playing ? I feel like vegas expects us to score and it won't be the same

If we don't show significant improvement on defense, it will be a sign that Kelly is not sure what to do to make those improvements.

You’re expecting to see big changes on defense despite the fact that we have not changed anything about the defense yet? If you see no changes during this bowl game and Kelly guts the whole staff in the spring, you’d still think this game was somehow significant?

That makes no sense.

Two, Nussmeier is LSU's starting QB going forward until he is beaten out in fair competition before next season. That is highly unlikely.

Three, Those WR's who will be leaving will play one quarter, maybe two. I guarantee that in writing. You will have plenty of opportunity to see next years WR's and what they are capable of.

Once again, if Nussmeier and his WR's do not show something in this game, LSU could be in big trouble next season.

This in now way represents what Nuss and next year's wr Corp will do next year.
Nuss playing great or bad on Monday in no way represents wht he will do next year after an entire off season and spring practice taking 1st string reps.
Literally nothing tht happens on Monday gives you a glimpse of what will happen next year.

We don't even know who the OC is for 2024 and yet you're claiming a game on Monday gets you a glimpse into the 2024 offense.

Offensively, Nussmeier needs to show big promise.

Nuss is going to start next year regardless of if he throws 6 TD's or 0 TD's in this game. The staff is all in on him.

Why would anyone think we will see an improved defense Monday?

No one gives a shite about bowl games. It's just a fun week if you are not in the playoff

I can almost guarantee you you will see improvements on defense. I think we will see is a much more attacking/aggressive defense in this game. Our corners will not play so soft. Perkins will be the Perkins of last year.

Just these things will make a big difference in this game and would have made a big difference all season. House made a huge mistake playing conservatively all season -you don’t just let offenses pick you apart.

We played prevent defense all season.

"No One" may apply to you. That's fine. But I think a lot of people, including players and coaches, think this game means something more than just "a fun week".

I think the defensive personnel have a big chip on their shoulders right now and are taking this "non-playoff" opportunity seriously.

But you just make sure you have fun. Okay?

Like it or not this team will not be the 2024 lsu team.

The team will of course be different due to the opener being 8 months away but 80-90% of the bowl game players will make up that team. Including the player at the most important position on the field.
