Just stop. You look foolish.

To all the chicken littles:
Stop. The sky is not falling. If your expectations were set too high, that’s ok. Now you know. Get over it. Anyone expecting this to be anything but a rebuilding year has been wearing P&G blindfolds.
The team stuck in there and exhibited a level of fight that was worthy of a miracle win, and they almost delivered it. It was exciting.
Stop, step back, and reevaluate yourselves. Your expectations are the problem. This team is on excellent footing. Imagine how it would make the team and staff feel to have a supporting fan base that isn’t screaming “off with his head” after one game and dogging kids for having a bad game or bad plays. Luckily, CBK knew coming in that a large portion(the loudest portion) of our fan base is absolutely unrealistic/insane with expectations. He accepts it and takes responsibility. Notice he didn’t throw players under the bus?
You can sit back and enjoy the ride or be miserable. That is a personal choice much more indicative of the quality of your life aside from LSU football than relating to it.

Not just indicative of themselves. Indicative of our shitty arse culture in this country but especially in Louisiana.

We hired a les miles without the humor.

LSU fans are absolutely the worst in college sports. Total psychos who tie their very existence to a football team.

Agree. All this.
I appreciated the way that he treated Boutte and Naybers like the way you would want your own kid students treated. They are in process and can learn. But, they're not going to have it easy, either.

I expected to not revert back to an offense from 1998

Everyone defending that game last night are the same ones that wanted to keep Les Miles a year too long. Good of you all to identify yourselves.

There is NO ALIGNMENT - The Coaches were a complete cluster f-ck that looked over their heads. The team was NOT prepared to start the game. The team was NOT prepared to start the 3rd quarter.
And how the F-ck are expectations to beat an average, at best, ACC team "too high".
Yes - this is and always was a rebuilding year and we will be lucky to win an SEC game. How did any of us think grabbing 2 and 3 star portal transfers to fill massive roster holes was going to bring up back in Year 1? Next year is another rebuilding year hoping for a break even/maybe winning season. Perhaps in Yr 3 and probably 4, LSU will be relevant in the playoff discussions again.

Maybe that’s all you can run when your best offensive lineman transferred in from Sister Mary’s School for Crippled Children.

39 players on the roster less than a year ago for a bowl game. You can “hope” all you want but that doesn’t make it happen. You may as well shite in the other hand. It’s going to take time.

You might be correct.....I was expecting a way better debut....we looked better in the second-half on offense, but our defense is going to get shredded in the SEC....

Listen…
LSU fans are going to complain. They will always complain unless LSU is god tier. Even in 2019 when they were, there was still complaining. It’s just always going to be that way.

What does scheme have to do with any of that

All this solid logic and the Tards that overtake this site. Oil and Water. Give him 20 games and we will be back in thick of things .

How about the fact that scheme is driven by the level of talent. He had to build a third of his team from the portal.
The athletes, no matter what you may believe, simply aren’t there yet.

We got what we could. We had so much attrition from past classes that we were desperate for bodies.
If this team looks the same at the end of the year, with all else being equal, then we can make judgments about coaching.

My expectations were 7-5. After last night it appears my expectations were way too high.

A guy that coached in 2000 lost to UAB for Christ sakes.
