What's funny is that the way you wrote this shows you don't have confidence in his potential either.

Newsflash: playing QB in the NFL is hard, and most will not succeed. It's not a knock on him.

Confident athletes do stupid stuff all the time.

Alex Bregman wears #2 because he felt slighted he wasn’t the #1 pick in a draft with a thousand players

I think the Caleb Williams hate has gone way overboard. People are letting their personal dislike for him drive their opinion of his actual skill set.

The big question is, did his fingernail polish coordinate with his outfit?

My hot take for this draft: Rattler has a better career when it’s all said and done then Caleb williams

A good hot take, but unlikely

Jayden has a legitimate shot to be better for longer than Caleb though. Jayden has all the tools plus the mentality

good luck to the bears dealing with this kid as your franchise leader. Big emphasis on the word "kid". He has the maturity of a 12 year old.

Are you using his emotion from 4 years ago to gauge how he is now?

Yet he transferred out to play for the same coach who started him on the bench?

mean, Rattler was the odds-on Heisman favorite entering the season, and was 1st team all-conference the year before. Caleb is retarded if he legitimately expected to be given the job as a true freshman week one.

You are correct sir. So, to put this into perspective, Caleb Williams was butthurt because he didn't immediately start over the all-conference, Heisman favorite QB who had a full season of big-time college football under his belt.

In other words, Caleb Williams is a little baby.

I mean, Rattler fricking sucked and it was clear from week 1 he sucked.

Eh

They won vs Tulane week 1 and he went 30/39 304 1 TD 2 INT

Sure, couple picks is obviously a negative. But everything else, not bad.

I’m not sure Rattler has the reputation you think he does. Or had, even.

I hope he does well just to see this board lie and pretend they never doubted him, like we just saw with CJ Stroud.

Stroud didn’t have red flags, just thought he would go down the same path that the previous OSU QBs before him went down. Assumed he was a system QB.

Stroud doesn’t paint his nails and demand equity on a team he hasn’t done shite for yet , doesn’t cry to his mom in the stands like a P

Caleb has incredible god given talent, but I just don't see him having the emotional fortitude or maturity to be a consistently top QB in the NFL.

But this situation is not why I think that. Elite players always want to play.

Rattler is the better of the two.

Is he retarded for thinking the better player should play?

It took until game 5 for Trevor Lawrence to start ahead of Kelly fricking Bryant.
Lawrence was considered a better prospect than Williams coming into college, and Rattler was way better as a passing QB than Bryant.

The fact this has 80+ upvotes is wild to me. This guy went to OU and wanted to compete and beat out the projected starter and NFL QB. If I’m an NFL executive, I freaking love this. What’s more ultra competitive than doing something like this? Oh and he eventually did beat him out.

I swear people here just love to hate on Caleb. It was an impressive interview and shows how prepared he is.

Well if you actually listen to the interview, Caleb felt he out-performed Rattler leading into the season.

In Hindsight, he was probably correct.
