good luck to the bears dealing with this kid as your franchise leader
What?

This guy/gal whatever it is will suck. The nfl, even in the vaginal state defenses are in due to the rules, will pick 6 this person nonstop.
The lockeroom will also be a shitshow with this pathetic attitude.

I mean, Rattler was the odds-on Heisman favorite entering the season, and was 1st team all-conference the year before. Caleb is retarded if he legitimately expected to be given the job as a true freshman week one
We're now hating on Caleb Williams for not wanting to be a backup QB

So a guy who is an ultimate competitor was mad someone who sucked and wasn’t nearly as good played and hurt the team
Wow, riveting stuff
Burrow was so mad he left a school

This thread fricking sucks. No actual quotes. Zero context. Just a place for a bunch of people to confirm their biases of him that they established long ago.
I've heard a few of his interviews this draft season and have come off very impressed. He seems to have grown from his freshman year and seems more mature and humble (as humble as you want your #1 overall pick, face of the organization QB to be) while still sounding confident, but not overly cocky. I think a lot of you made up your minds about him when he was 18 and based on some things his dad and agent have said.
I didn't love his "frick UTAH" fingernail painting, but I gotta be honest, I didn't hate it either. As a competitor, absolutely "frick your opponent." I want my guys to hate their opponents during the game. And so do y'all as y'all are likely the same folks who bitch about all the loving, hugging, off-season hanging out, and jersey swapping that happens every week in the NBA an NFL. And, though he should have known better since it's 2023, I don't think he thought that would be shown to the entire world. Maybe a little naive, but it's not like he wrote it across his helmet. And I'm sure he learned from it.
Another criticism I see of him is that he got paid so much, he just didn't care this year. While at the same time, people called him a bitch for crying when USC got knocked out of the PAC race. Which is contradictory and a hard circle for me to square. Does he not care or not?
He may be a raging a-hole--guess what? So are a lot of QBs--or he may be a nice guy who's matured a good bit the past couple of years. Regardless, I think his success at the NFL level is going to be based more on him going to Chicago and maybe not having the physical tools that a lot of people think he does--I question if his arm talent is really as good as the Mahomes/Rodgers comps--and he might be a little short for that style of QB.
Maybe not. He could be a HOFer. Or he could be a bust. But no matter what, none of y'all are gonna be vindicated for "calling it" as much as you will pat yourselves on the back if you guessed right, even though your "predictions" will have been based on things that didn't make him bust.
But he's gonna be a Bear in the NFC. The Saints play in the NFC. So frick the Bears--I hope he does suck. Would be better for my team. But I don't think he will. Or at least not for the reasons most of you think he's destined to for.

Think. Key word. No one knew he was immediately better than the Heisman favorite when he got to OU.

This is disingenuous. Not wanting to be a backup is different than being "angry" that you don't get to start immediately over a projected 1st round pick.

But he followed the head coach which was his O coordinator and qb coach???????

Make this thread about Brady and change two adjectives and this is a thread where people are sucking off his "greatness"
But since we don't like CW on here, it's just more proof of how soft he is

I hope he does well just to see this board lie and pretend they never doubted him, like we just saw with CJ Stroud.

He came in expecting the job to immediately be given to him because he was good and he threw a tantrum when he didn't get what he wanted. He's a spoiled selfish child who will struggle in the NFL when he faces actual adversity.
He will never be a leader of other men until he gets humble and grows up.

He was in meetings and practices. He knew how inferior Rattler was that year. He did everything he could to dance around calling him out directly.

What's funny is that the way you wrote this shows you don't have confidence in his potential either.
