He's 24, had multiple torn ACLs and a broken collarbone in college, and he can't throw over the middle. He isn't going to have 12 seconds to camp in the pocket in the NFL. He isn't going to be throwing to a 6'4 WR being covered by future accountants in the NFL. There are no USC defenses to pad stats against in the NFL.
I believe DeBoer was more responsible than Penix for Washington's offensive success. NFL defenses will tear him apart.

The Thrashers drafted Alex Bourret, who never played an NHL game. Boris Valabik went at no.8, and only played 50 games.
The Falcons are run by idiots, but this isn't the worst pick in ATL sports history. Not even close.

They're not even the worst run in Atlanta history (see most of the Hawks' existence and the sabotage of the Thrashers by ASG).
