It’s an absolute disgrace how these pros are behaving.

I feel like the only way I’d be able to sleep at night is to tell the sand monkeys to pound… well… you know.

and let me ask yall a question.....if a middle eastern company offered to 5x your salary....are you telling me you wouldnt take the job due to american pride?

maybe i look at this different as my grand father worked for Saudi Aramco for a long time, but no way i wouldnt take a deal that 5-10x my salary.

No ... For me there is a religious aspect. When I can go to church in SA - maybe? But also your argument is skewed to poor people perspective. If I'm making 100k and they offer 500k ( and omitting the first mentioned issue)! That's one thing. If I have 500million already and make 40 million a yr now and will for a while .and get offered 800mm. It's not the same I'm already buying what I want...

A billion dollars for gold is preposterous, while most of the word toils in unfulfilling drudgery.

I'm not sure how anyone could blame Rory if they offer him almost a billion dollars.

Nobody should blame him if he left for free with the way the PGA hung him out to dry. He shouldn't have any loyalty to them.

That being said, he's not leaving and I don't know how this story got legs. It's just a fake heading with no real source/backing to it.

Saudi money is monopoly money to them. They're so bored, they don't know what to do with it but throw it away.

If they want to use sports to whitewash their shite they should be throwing it all at saving college football from killing itself.

They don't have to live in Saudi Arabia.

If a Saudi Arabian company offered me 5x my salary to do exactly what I'm doing now working from home, I'm taking that and not looking back.

From earlier today...

quote:

Speaking with Golf Channel’s Todd Lewis from Hilton Head Island ahead of this week’s RBC Heritage, the man from Northern Ireland confirmed there is no validity to the report and that he has no plans to leave the PGA Tour.

“I honestly don’t know how these things get started,” he said with a smirk. “I’ve never been offered a number from LIV and I’ve never contemplated going to LIV. I think I’ve made it clear over the past two years that I don’t think it’s something for me.”

“It’s never even been a conversation for us,” he said. “It’s unfortunate that we have to deal with it and that this is the state that our game is in but I’m obviously here today and I’m playing this PGA Tour event this week and I will play the PGA Tour for the rest of my career.

Rory’s net worth is an estimated $80M. He’s good.

There has definitely been a shift in his comments toward LIV as of recent. The timing of it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to me, but I wouldn’t be surprised at the move.

It's called money. I'm neutral to it but it is what it is.
